We were staying at the hotel and didn't want to driver anywhere (since we'd just spent 5 hours in the car). We were all pleased with the menu. The chef sent out a free appetizer they were trying out that was delicious and got us all hooked. The menu has both standard german fare as well as some more adventurous items. The wait staff was friendly and patient (we had to do some phone translations to make sure we weren't ordering liver). We had a quite outside table on a lovely fall evening. It was a great family meal and we would go again!

We visited on a very hot evening and decided to take the drive out from where we were staying, just outside of Münster. It is in a pretty remote location but as we had no bikes, we had to drive. It is well worth the effort. We arrived to find the car park full, which we took as a great sign. It means it's worth travelling for. We walked to the beer garden, which was full. We had a quick chat with the waiter and he found us a space at a table with another couple. The menu was full of seasonal, local dishes, all of which sounded amazing. I chose Paula's Broad Beans with Mettwurst, Speck and fried potatoes. My husband had schnitzel with mushroom sauce. The broad beans were incredible. So tasty....and the sausage was really smoky and firm. I am so pleased I chose that dish. I would have it again in a heartbeat. We had no room for dessert. There were wines on the menu and they had lots of beers but they weren't listed on the menu.I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

The service is all right, friendly and fast. The food, however, is not so good, as there are many prefabricated components. Just have a look at the pictures, they speak for themselves. You have to consider that the food is inexpensive and that you can order all dishes in different portion sizes.

Very nice, typically German restaurant, which has been there for more than 150 years. The burgers we had were great! The waitress was very friendly. It was not very busy, but we can really recommend this place.

Meal choice limited to set menu as we were a business party of 10+. Food was well presented and well cooked... Only downside was it was uninspiring... Could have been eating anywhere in the world... A nod to Germany with regard to ingredients or dishes would have been nice..
