We ate here one night while holidaying in Schliersee and enjoyed it. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The meal was a good size and very filling, I started with a very nice salad then had the deer goulash, very tasty. My wife had the pork schnitzel and said it was good. This restaurant at Karma Bavaria is worth eating at.

A very nice place in the middle of no where.Location : 2.2 km from Spitzingsee lake, right beside a stream. The place is like a oasis in the middle of desert, with good food.Food : I ordered Omelette, Bread and different Cheese, my friend ordered some sausage based dish.. We both liked the food.Ambience: The lady running the restaurant was very warm, they have menu card in German and English language too.All in all a must go place if you are hiking at Spitzingsee..

Cute setting, and the Kaiserschmarrn is super awesome: Fried in sugar, the dough is slightly denser than normal, and the sugar caramelizes around the lumps of fried dough. Deadly, and seriously awesome. One for the ages!

We came here after skiing nearby. Alte Wurzhutte is a very old but established German restaurant located in the village. It belongs to part of the historical Alte Wurzhutte hotel. The interior reminds me of a lodge with wooden furnitures and country style settings. Rather cosy and homey. The food here is typical German with meat, sausages, noodles, etc. I ordered the traditional leberknodel soup and spinatknodel with cheese sauce, which is a traditional dish in this region. Both of them tasted good and the portion were rather big too. The beer selection was also good too.The waiters could speak English too, which made ordering rather easy. They were friendly and the service was good too.Final word: A great place to unwind and have a nice German meal.

This morning We walked around Lake Schliersee, it was a beautiful day and the snow covered terrain gave every thing that magical feel A lovely walk , nice and flat so easy to do.It is about 7 kilometres , terrific scenery looking at the mountains all around and then looking across the lake waters to Schliersee town.. lovely and quiet, only three or four walkers out in the snow but one can imagine that in the summer it would be busy .Must get busy on the water too as we passed quite a few boat sheds and near town there were dozens of small boats out of the water, I assume they were small hire boats.Half way through the walk we left the lake and ventured into the community of Neuhaus where we found SLYRS the distillery. We were very happy to find that they have a cafe and lunchery as we were looking for someplace to have lunch. It is upstairs which gives you a nice view over the snow covered mountains nearby.Quite busy for a Monday so it must be popular. The young lady on duty was friendly and soon offered me an English menu which was very helpful. It was the breakfast menu which goes to 1pm , there is also the luncheon menu .I had the grilled ham with cheese between very nice bread, some lettuce and little tomatoes came with it , I also had a side order of two lovely fried eggs, came out fairly quickly , was well presented and was delicious, it really filled the gap. This complex the distillery and all is quite smart and a nice place to eat .There is a local bus service that stops right near it and for tourists it is free so easy to get too if you donât have a vehicle.I have been wondering what do the letters SLYRS stand for .

This restaurant belongs to the same family as the Gästehaus Stöger, and the standards are as high. The menu is traditional Bavarian, the food good, but not cheap, the staff friendly and helpful. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

The house is very nice from the outside, but definitely needs renovating and updating inside. Whilst the food is average, the service is very poor, unfriendly and unattentive. They have two menus, one is titled "Local and Seasonal Specialities", and includes "Matjes" (pickled herring) as well as Thai Curry - so I wondered whether the Schliersee had a serious ecological problem and whether Thailand was part of Upper Bavaria. The other menu offers the typical Bavarian fare at reasonable prices. The waiter does not ask how you would like your meat to be cooked but graciously accepts your order; however, all our meat were at least one notch more cooked than ordered, and the waiters were not interested in our comments. The wine list is rather short and offers only the ubiquituous choice. There are much better and most importantly friendlier restaurants in Schliersee.
