Bistro mit frischen Fischspezialitäten am Tegernsee
Fresh, experienced family restaurant. Local favorite. Excellent fish, stews, beers and wine list. Brunch does offer Champagne. Incredible view!

I was ready to eat everything in sight, having walked from Tegernsee along the lake in sweltering heat, to finally arrive at this convivial eating place. Nice terrace, shaded by umbrellas and unforgettable view of mountains and meadows. The restaurant is pretty good, but we wanted to "pig out" on their cholesterol-laden cakes and wonderful ice cream. A great variety of cakes to choose from. Of course, beer is the golden nectar in Bavaria. There is a large parking area, easily reached from Tegernsee and surrounding area. It is a secluded place, away from street noise and fumes, but well sign posted.A good place to spend a few hours enjoying the scenery.

We went to the place after Tripadvisors recommendation. The value of price/quality/quantity is below medium. The Salad took aprox. 20 minutes to be served allthough there was not "high traffic". The sevice was nice and polied. Overall 3 out of 5 stars is justified.

I visited a wedding party at Leeberghof. Very nice ambience, great view, very good and friendly service. The food was just outstanding. Fingerfood (very variegated), starter (a soup), desert (apple strudel, ice cream, sorbet, Kalter Hund) and especially the perfectly cooked steak. The staff was friendly and attentive, but still unobtrusive. The party afterwards at the little bar was also great. Good drinks, night meal and everything you could think of.

Did not stay at hotel but ate at restaurant twice during our 4 day stay.Really enjoyed the steak on our visit and chose to visit on our final night and enjoyed a repeat performance with excellent tasty fat free steak cooked to perfection.Be aware tax is added to the menu prices at 19% unlike other restaurants we visited.Even so well worth a visit.

Whether you opt for fine dining in the Dichterstub'n, or friendly waitress service in the Hubertusstuberl - in the Egerner Hofen in Rottach-Egern, Lake Tegernsee, everyone is welcomed with equally fine culinary delights. The Dichterstub'n is a hommage to
the food was fantastic from beginning to end. the 'landei' is a fabulous appetizer, the veal two ways as well, especially the braised calf cheek (to die for). wine selection very good, recommendations of waiter not as good as they could have been; i know a fair amount about wine, though am not a true expert, but i knew more than he did, which should not be the case at these prices. he also came by far too often and talked far too much.it's a lovely drive to the tegernsee, perhaps germany's most beautiful lake. the hotel is close to the lake, but there's no view, at least not from the dichterstube, which has no windows, but rather walls covered with low-quality portraits of lesser known german poets (thus 'poet's room').

We stranded at this restaurant after a exhausting hike and found a place on the big terrace, overlooking Starnberg and the lake. The service was friendly and fast. The menu had not too many items, but everything sounded delicious and was priced reasonable. After we ordered, the waitress came back to inform us, that we have to wait a little, because the kitchen has to make fresh dumplings. It was worth the wait, because the dumpling are delicious and maybe the best I ever had! No joke! But the food in general was really good and the plates full. Just what you need after hiking. We will definitely come back, when we are in the area again.

This jewel of a Bavarian resort town is loaded with great places to eat -- even three venues with Michelin-rated chefs. But as we sought a more casual meal with good food and reasonable prices, our local friends took us to Postillion. The mushroom pasta sounded so good, we all ordered it -- and it was delicious! After these four mains, four glasses of wine and one glass of good Bavarian beer, we were out the door for 87 Euros plus tip. NOTE: cash only here, no plastic. Bottom line, good choice for casual dining and good food in an otherwise very expensive town. Recommended!!

Just perfect!Reservation required! We had luck, after times of times of phone calls and no more room in the Stubn, we decided to show off late after 9.30pm. It was German national day.A very warm welcome, set up with a smile in a Stubn, our server was fast, very friendly and had this passionate familiar outgoing. We felt immediate like home. Here, I do need to say - this restaurant is gemütlichkeit. Lot of little wooden rooms, warm feeling also spreading out by all guests. The food - just the best Krustenbraten I ever had. Tender, full of natural flavor, crispy Kruste, and the perfect Bavarian Kartoffelknodel. We had sooo much luck, I got some Blaukraut. And here, is the step for me to heaven:all spices and consistence was perfect! The special Blaukraut is badly not on the main menus. Dear Zotzn, please take my wish as an adorable lover of German Blaukraut: yours is the best flavoured one I ever had, not even my mom or grandma (Saxon womans) are doing such a great job! And I grew up with natural good home cooking! Thanks for being there and serve people like you are doing! You're one of the best Kleinod's in Germany. :)

we arrived at the restaurant during a snow storm, without having booked. it's a chic decor yet simple and the food was really good. The waitress helped us decipher the German menu and advised us for the local dessert, which was huge and very sataisfying.
