Where to eat Greek food in Hemmingen: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We went out for dinner and found this Fish Imbiss/restaurant not far from our hotel. The restaurant is next to the fish shop and has the same owner. There was another couple eating when we entered at 6.30 PM. I hadn' t seen that the restaurant should close at this hour! We were welcomed and we could choose a table. We ordered red sea brass in a crust of egg daw, pan fried 3/5, potato salad 4/5 and broccoli 5/5, accompanied with green tea 3/5. The service was very friendly and the restaurant looks okay and is very clean.
We found Mosquito while walking round the town. That evening we thought we would give it a try. We were very glad that we did. The meals were excellent with service to match. The menu was quite varied with plenty of choices. A very pleasant atmosphere both inside and out.

On a beautiful weekend, I took a hike up to the Klippentum. I took the train to Rinteln and its a short walk through a residential area to the woods where the trail is marked with white paint slashes on trees. There aren't any signs for the trailhead until you are halfway up the mountain. It was a good hike and there are two main trails to take. One is a little steeper and shorter as opposed to the other longer and more gradual. A 360 degree view on top is rewarding from the stone tower at the summit. Most rewarding is the little refreshment area in the tower building, where beer, wine, soft drinks and limited cakes are available. If you have a nice weather day, Klippentum is a worthwhile hike.

The food was both unusual and beautifully presented, but quite expense. We were a family of 10 and while they put us in a room all by ourselves (probably to hold down the noise with four little children), there was no way to come out of that restaurant without having laid down a couple hundred dollars for all of us.

The restaurant is outside the town up in the hill just below the forest. There are ample of opporunities for a nice walk around. The terrace can be very nice on a warm evening while the inside is a bit cold in the decor and except for some brewing utensil not very cosy. They do offer very good German food with a nice seasonal menu prepared mostly fresh and the kitchen delevers a reliable service even if nothing too great. Waht they are really good in is beer (they brew themselves) and spirits (also done locally) so it is a very nice place for some hearty food and some beers with friends and colleagues and enjoy the quiet area. The staff is a hit and miss, can be very friendly but can also be very professional.
