Compared to other restaurants, this was a bit on the pricy side. My husband was happy with his meal, but mine was over-salted. Waitress was friendly, efficient as to be expected.Danke für die tolle Bewertung

A special experience in Husum: dine on a large boat!Nice selection of fish / seafood, plus some standards meats and vegetarian selection. etc. Try the "Norditas", tapas-style little bites of regionally inspired seafood and veggie options. All foods we had were excellently prepared, tasty, served just right.Great atmosphere with genuine maritime decor, plus the very gentle rocking of the (moored!) boat when the tide is up. Impeccable service: friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. Family friendly, but also works well for couples (romance :-) ).Prices reasonable.Dear Rainer, thanks for this wonderful review! We were very happy about the "fine dining" comment and look forward to a hopeful reunion on board...All greetings from your MS Nord crew!

The two different dishes we ordered tasted like it was prepared from old frozen fish. Seemed like it was prepared from fish sticks. Everything, potatoes, vegetables and fish, was drained in the same bad tasting sause that must have been bought at a sellout in i cheap supermarket. Absolutely awful!!!

Best restaurant in Nordstrandâ¦..this is where all the locals go. Best reserve a table on Friday and Saturday nights if you want a cozy window spot. Right on the dike with a great view of the North Sea and the Halligen Islands. In summer, ample seating is arranged on the outside terrace on the dike. Have been to most of the restaurants on the island and consistently return here for the atmosphere, food and "gesselligkeit". The Captain's Platter has a tasting assortment of all the local favorite fish - my husband's favorite.

Made a reservation for a large group for dinner to find most of the menu items were not available including the areas best known fish items. Very disappointing. Service was good and they tried to make up for it. Atmosphere was very bland, stark white in the restaurant, no music, bright lighting. Not the experience we were hoping for at this traditional location. A recent remodel took much of the charm away. Anyone traveling with dogs may like this place though at it is very dog friendly. Had we known we probably would have booked elsewhere as we did not have dogs and there was one at every table.

After finishing our meal we were told that credit cards were not accepted. One of us had to stay in the restaurant while the other had to pick up cash, we were told ... Would have been very nice to know before we ordered our food !!!My husband had to drive 15 km to get to the closest ATM !

I love Nordstrand. The air, the fisherman culture, the history, the wildlife are all amazing. I have been to this area twice in the winter visiting in-laws for christmas, but had yet to visit in Summer. Now having spent a week here, all I can say is "WOW", and "When are we coming back?"The lighthouses, restaurants, culture, activities for people of all ages... the area is general... is just top-notch.We had dinner at this restaurant, eating the "Sand-schorle" platter, and name specific (and Patented) to this restaurant for a local fish, named otherwise Scharbe, meaning in German, roach...not so attractive, so the owner changed the name in his restaurant. Funny...I get it. :DFish platter was great. Wine paired with it.. delicious. Service..not awesome.Father-in-law merely asked if they had a specific white wine and she asked "dry or sweet". He asked again and she rolled her eyes and repeated dry or sweet. He stated politely, I just asked if you have this local wine, and she said bluntly no, dry or... So...attractive as she was, not so great. The whole table looked at each other in shock. The service for the rest of the meal was nice. I was completely satisfied with the decor, the food and the service (other than the wine). But. Wife and parents-in-law were shocked and disappointed by the server.Still. This restaurant is considered the best in the area. It sells out often and is recommended to have a reservation (seriously). I witnessed many groups and couples coming in, only to be turned away. After eating the food. I can see why. Bwuh. So much fish. Belly ache. But... GREAT. Enjoy it.And enjoy the view once you walk out and breath the fresh air over looking the marsh. For a VERY large platter of their specialty fish, and a liter of wine and a large bowl of DELICIOUS potatoes, and a kids plate of fries and fish or something, total was ~80 Euros. Not bad considering the wine and food. Adequate parking. Patio seating. Wheelchair into the restaurant could be tricky (unless their is a door I didn't see). Two or three steps from door down into eating area.
