Sehr uriges Restaurant. Ãbersäht mit Dekorationen was mit der See/Schiffsfahrt zusammen hängt. Sehr nettes Servicepersonal, trotz vieler Gäste. Vorab gab es ein Amus Gueule, Baguette mit Seealgen, selbstgebeitzen Lachs an schwarzem Sesam. Weich, mild, nussig im Geschmack, perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt. Zum Hauptgericht einmal das Ostfriesenschnitzel mit Spiegelei, Krabben und Speckbratkartoffeln. Zwei groÃe und nicht totgebratene, weiches Schnitzelfleisch, herzhafte Bratkartoffeln mit Speck, zünftig leckerschmecker TOP. Schwertfisch auf Seealgen gebettet mit kleinen gerösteten französischen Kartoffeln an Kräuterbutter. Der Schwertfisch war ebenfalls meeggaa lecker auf den Punkt, saftig und bissfest. Zu beiden Gerichten wurde uns eine grüne Salatvariation mit leckeren Hausdressing serviert. Super Service. Angemessenes Preisleistungsverhältnis.Eine kleine Anmerkung gab es für uns persönlich: Evtl. etwas mehr Sauberkeit im Restaurant / Fenster- und Dekobereich? Im Bar - Thekenbereich ist Rauchen in unseren Augen ein No-Go .

Prima wie immer, kein erster Tag ohne Krabbenbrötchen. Hier sitzt man gemütlich und genieÃt.Preislich hat es sich leider weiterentwickelt, die Qualität hat aber nicht gelitten.

Quite different to the normal ostfriesisches Restaurant is Kaethe&Karl.The location is an old blacksmith house and tools and memorabilia are all around.Food was good and service friendly. No problem to recommend the place

Having read some of the other reviews, we were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Food was served in good portion sizes for adults and children. 92⬠for 4 adults and 3 kids is good value. Service was fine too. Weâll definitely be eating here again.

Nix Dolles, aber zum Stillen des Hungers, bis die Fähre kommt, mag es wohl reichen. Bedienung eher desinteressiert, Essen so lala.

Here you enjoy friendly staff as well as your table neighbors. With my wife together, we each tasted a different fish for supper. The decorations of the restaurant give you the feeling of âin the old daysâ. Also Ostfriesische Küche ist einfach überschaubar also Fisch und vom Sterneküche weit entfernt aber Scholle âFinkenwerder Artâ ist der Garant dafür wer das Gericht kann der kann Fisch. The restaurant is somewhat hidden at the base of an embankment. In decorating the restaurant the owners have been guided by their preference for antiques and traditional stuff from the region. The menu also contains mostly traditional cuisine with of course lots of fish dishes. The kitchen uses fine, honest ingredients and serves good meals. The staff is very friendly.

... in Ermangelung einer Alternative, waren wir hier essen. Der Service war bemüht, teils freundlich, teils pampig, je nachdem welche Kellnerin gerade an den Tisch kam. Das Essen war gut und die Portionen groÃ, da gab es nichts zu meckern. Es hat nur sehr lange gedauert. Von der Bestellung bis zum Essen sind 1,5 Stunden vergangen. Mit Kindern ganz eindeutig zu lang!

Considering that this restaurant is mentioned in the Gault Millau guide and located near the sea, my husband and I were looking forward to a lovely fish dish. We both ordered the asparagus with Hollandaise sauce and accompanied by some fillets of plaice. The asparagus were nicely cooked, which is to be expected. The Hollandaise sauce was good, but we were hoping for something special. The fish however was absolutely disgusting. Greasy fillets swimming in burned butter. It's no wonder they lost 1 point in the Gault Millau guide. The staff was very friendly, but incompetent. To conclude, this restaurant is a real tourist trap.
