surprisingly was the ambient entering the restaurant. The partly African style gives a warm and welcome feeling. We ordered pizza and pasta, pasta without any cheese. The pasta came with cheese, the waitress was obviously not listening. Also the 1/8 glass of vine came as an 1/4...Overall, the food was ok, but not more than average.

This restaurant is located close the city centre. Still when you enter you might feel its rustic charm. May be you would think it is a Bierstube, and you can get good beer here as well, but the restaurant's reputation is built on its wine and its slow food cooked the German way. We had booked a table here after a visit to Weingut Seeger's wineshop next door, for tasting and buying some wine - and we were surprised by this restaurant. It looks a bit modest from outside but they really know their way in both cooking and wine. The food is homemade in their kitchen. It takes time but then you have the opportunity to sip to their wine in the meantime, or have a beer from the tap. Don't expect any special service here, but they are quick to assist when you catch their eye. And they give fantastic advice on which wine of their production would match your ordered food best. And the food is so well made, without any frill, that it is just to relax and enjoy. No wonder they have got such a good reputation. If you like us look for a stop over in this area, find a hotel and enjoy a visit at Weinstube Jaegerlust.

This an out of the restaurant that seemingly caters to locals. People were greeted with smiles and hugs...definitely not tourists exploring new places to eat as we were doing. Though there wasn't an English menus, the young bartender virtually translated the entire menu for me and helped me choose something "without meat and not fried"... quite the challenge in German cuisine. I settled on a pancake stuffed with mushrooms which also came with a side salad. My husband had pork with mushroom gravy, knaidel slices, that also included a salad. The portions were huge, tasted great, and the prices were very reasonable. The waiter staff couldn't have been nicer. Great evening!

On a chilly evening, we had dinner at this attractive restaurant. It now boasts another level a testament to its popularity. It is less atmospheric upstairs;the downstairs seating is more medieval and interesting. Food was a little pricey, but tasty, hot and filling.

Schnitzelbank did not disappoint! The best German meal that we had during our trip through the country. I'm a huge foodie so I'm always looking for the best restaurant or hole-in-the-wall spots. The restaurant served some of the best popular German dishes. Everything that we ordered was cooked perfectly and delicious. Already planning to go back just to eat here!

Went here for a meal for two. We sat outside. It's a bit rough and ready but ok. We had the antipasti - comprising the cheapest of prepackaged foods, it seemed - and a pizza. We were very disappointed by the quality of the food and the service was slow.

Our dinners on the Leimen town square were very good with excellent service with the staff being attentive and friendly. There were three of us and we each had a different entree. We would not hesitate to visit the Leimener Brauhous again and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to eat and relax for the evening. May not be suitable for children unless your eating outside.

I'm still sit here having a piece of cake which was unexpected and it's a pleasent gift. This restaurant is attended from local people and even if they don't have english menu, the guy is very friendly and willing to help you with your choice. At the entrance there's a free soup to have while waiting the food.. but I haven't waited long time. Food is very delicious and respect other restaurants it looks more fresh and tidy. The location is also pretty, it looks traditional and definitely nice to live.
