My husband and I dined here on a Saturday evening. I needed real food. Not the usual hamburgers and chicken fingers found in other establishments up here. I had Chicken Francaise & he had shrimp. Scampi. Excellent. The meal came with soup or salad and a side dish. They bring warm bread to the table with butter & olive oil. The decor is lovely. 1950 era with comfortable chairs and white tablecloths. The servers were very attentive. We had "goat". He couldn't been any better. These people know how to serve We had a wonderful meal with 2 drinks each for under $50. Amazing place

Tired and hungry, this place was just what we needed, having checked out the rest of Barryville.....We sat outside, and I ordered the Hungarian pork, with all the trimmin's. It was excellent. She ordered fish and chips, which passed but did not hit the excellence level. But the waitress was charmingly chatty, and the people coming out to go home all looked happy. We enjoyed sitting outside and listening to their mix tape, mostly 70's tunes.

Located in Honesdale, in the Northern Pocono region of Northeastern Pennsylvania, The Alpine Wurst & Meat House has been a premier manufacturer of German sausages, smoked ham, Kassler Rippchen, cold cuts and meats for over thirty years. Our three on site
Went here with a friend and elderly relative. The waitress was rude and impatient and spoilt the experience. My food was over cooked and so were the pancakes. The red cabbage tasted like it was from a jar and microwaved.Very expensive meal and certainly not worth the money. My relative left a tip, even though I said don't as they did not deserve it!I'm so sorry to hear this. When were you here and who was your server?
