Another nice meal with a good selection of Swabian meals. Staff seem pleasant enough but when in good company and limited knowledge of German it is not easy to judge service standards.Able to get alcohol free lager and enjoy good well cooked food

habe hier bereits öfters Mittag gegessen und die Menüs "Wochenplan der Mittgastische" öfters gegessen. Das Essen hier war immer sehr gut und günstig. Der Service ist schnell und freundlich. Das passt fast alles.

Wir waren zu Viert an einem Freitagabend zum Essen in der Brenne, die seit 2015 unter neuer Leitung geführt wird. AuÃer unserem waren nur noch zwei weitere Tische besetzt! Das Restaurant wirbt besonders mit seinen im Holzofen gebackenen Pizzen, und diese waren wirklich gut, der Teig absolut kross und gleichmäÃig durchgebacken, die Beläge sehr schmackhaft mit frischen Zutaten. Das war's aber auch schon, was an Positivem zu berichten ist, auÃer vielleicht der Tatsache, dass der überforderte aber sehr bemühte Kellner sehr freundlich war. Wegen der Getränkebestellung musste er mehrmals nachfragen, und auf die Bitte nach einem Cappucciono war die Antwort: âTut mir leid, aber unsere Kaffeemaschine ist kaputt!â Das bestellte Pils kam in einem normalen Bierglas fast ohne Schaum und für ein Pils viel zu schnell! Bei der Bestellung der Vorspeise bestellte ein Gast eine âBärlauchsuppeâ, die gar nicht auf der Karte stand, die Bestellung wurde aber zunächst trotzdem aufgenommen, bis der Irrtum vom Gast geklärt war. Die Rumpsteakbestellung ergab folgenden Kommentar: âTut mir leid, wir haben kein groÃes Rumpsteak mehr, nur noch ein kleines.â Bei der Bestellung des Zwiebelrostbratens entstand eine längere Diskussion um die Beilage. Der Gast wünschte Bratkartoffeln, aber die waren ausgegangen, angeboten wurden stattdessen Thymiankartoffeln. Daraufhin wurden als Beilage Spätzle bestellt. Es erfolgte keine Nachfrage, wie das Fleisch gebraten werden sollte, das Rumpsteak kam dann sehr blutig, der Rostbraten medium.Bevor allerdings die Hauptgerichte serviert wurden, kam der Kellner erneut an den Tisch mit der Mitteilung: âEs tut mir leid, der Koch hat die Spätzle verkocht!â Da wir am 1. April in der Brenne waren, dachten wir zuerst an einen Aprilscherz, aber dem war nicht so. Also wurde auf âKartoffelnâ als Beilage umgebucht.Als nach längerer Zeit die Hauptspeisen serviert wurden, war auÃer dem zu wenig gebratenen Rumpsteak (kleine Portion! S.o.) an Zubereitung und Geschmack wenig zu kritisieren. Die Vorgeschichte allerdings, bis es zum Essen kam, war eine einzige Katastrophe, die wir in dieser Form noch in keinem Lokal erlebt haben. Wir nahmen es mit Humor und der Kellner spendierte (âauf meine Kostenâ) am Ende noch Schnäpse und einen zusätzliche Beigabe zum Nachtisch. Völlig inakzeptabel ist, dass zu keiner Zeit eine Person der Geschäftsführung auftauchte und versuchte, die Situation zu klären bzw. sich für das Chaos zu entschuldigen. Wir fragen uns wirklich, was wäre, wenn das Lokal voll gewesen wäre! Aber dies wird, wenn so weiter gemacht wird, wohl selten der Fall sein.

A german tradition is to have roasted goose around saint martin's day, which is on November 11. For the second time we went to do that at this Restaurant, and it was excellent as usual.The restaurant is part of Hotel Fuchsen but open to anyone, not only hotel guests.

A friend of mine pulled me to dinner after a 7 hour car drive and the place was great. Swabian food with a stone fire pizza over... Maultaschen and pizza. Fabulous. Beyond the food was a great atmosphere with a fresh feel and at the same time an attention to detail with lovely antique pieces subtly blended in. Further, the wine cellar is top end with a world range and also regional excellence. All of this is situated perfectly in a rehabilitated modernized historic building abutted by a lovely boutique hotel where the establishment boasts a fine outside dining area/beer garden on a picturesque town square absent of all vehicle traffic. Thumbs way up.

The place is just next to Art Hotel which is also very good, it seems that the owners are the same, and they run both in a excellent manner! I ordered a very simple dish, grilled tuna, and it was done perfectly. Wine recommendation was just the best as well!When I ordered I was alone but it got busier over time, obviously locals visit it frequently, and honestly I would do it if I lived nearby. Definitely a recommended place, very friendly and feels-like-home atmosphere!

If you are in Kirchheim and want to experience some traditional german food from the Swabian area then this is a great place for you. We arrived a party of 6 before 6pm and without a reservation but despite this were greeted wholeheartedly. The host and waiter promptly sat us and provided menus. Drinks came very quickly and the food then thereafter. I started with a wild mushroom soup. A perfect portion that was packed with flavour. 3 out of 6 of us had the same and everyone enjoyed it. Salad was delicious. A combination of vegetables and lettuce and potato salad. All the meat eaters at the table had big portions of schnitzel whereas I had asked for a large salad (not on the menu per se)which was delicious and not a problem. Its always great to get what you want and have it be right. This is a lovely little place, clean, friendly and tastey.

We pulled off the motorway to find somewhere for lunch. We picked here as it had been recommended on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. It was a very hot day and we opted to sit outside. We had alcohol free beer and to eat my husband had the local specialty- beef, fried potatoes with bacon and noodles and I had the chicken salad with fruit. The Maitre De spike English which helped. Good was delicious and service excellent. We would definitely recommend this place.

In this area it's hard to find a restaurant with refined food But this place just does it. We were in the Brasserie section and were very surprised by the quality of food, wines and service. All top. Also very kids-friendly. Chef also prepared a delicious vegan dish, that was not on the menu. A place to recommend, and to come back!
