This place is a bit plain (in a traditional way) from the decor, but the food is excellent and the owners and staff are super, super friendly.

Maybe it was because the sun was shining and it was nice watching people playing tennis but I like this restaurant and always have. Staff are very friendly and the food good - you probably should go if your are a vegetarian :-)

I often go here for my "Sonntags Braten" - the traditional Sunday lunch German meal. It's family run, been in business for over 200 years, has a nice, traditional atmosphere, and the food is good. The service is friendly.

We were invited for a menu. I tried a coco-soup with curry, it was delicious spicy. As second I choosed a lamb, it was fine as well. Good wines.

OK, first thing to comment is that the decor inside is pretty bad.... but the food is wonderful. Service is OK.... in summer you can sit outside at the back and it's quite a delight there. All in all, I do prefer Zur Krone, but Zum Grünen Baum manages to hold its own.

Service is on par with others throughout the country...you won't be anyone special. Food is fine, basic german dishes. Building has maintained old time feel. Toilets are clean enough. Go here if you have a hankering for german dishes or want to be in old school decor/ building

Very friendly helpful staff with good service and great food in the outdoor section of the restaurant in this idyllic setting. If in any doubt with the menu ask the staff who were welcoming and this made for a very pleasant afternoon.

Viel Auswahl und gro8e Portionen und vor allem lecker. Geboten wird deutsch-kroatisch-mediterrane Küche zu angemessener Preisleistung. Besonders die Schnitzel sind riesig, da wird jeder satt. Ich habe meines nur zur Hälfte gepackt und habe es mir einpacken lassen. War am nächsten Tag noch einmal eine volltändige Mahlzeit für mich.

Hof Gimbach buzzes with families, bike tour groups, joggers, children, riders and locals enjoying the food overlooking green flowing fields. A tranquil place to be. I just had a soup and tried the Kaiserschmarrn. Unfortunately the Kaiserschmarrn was just a hacked up pancake but it was filling and sweet. When here and you're with a group be sure to reserve a table!

An excellent find in Kelkheim. Authentic southern French cuisine complemented with tasty French and German wines, coffee, and Schnapps. We had the onion soup, a Flammkuchen, risotto, and duck; everything was awesome and very reasonably priced. The owner Danilo is very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is both cozy (in a nice way) and warm without being stuffy or kitschy. Textures, flowers, art...all done very well. Definitely a rare gem in a sea of trees (and I mean that in a nice way).
