This restaurant hasn't changed in years, and is starting to show its age, wallpaper coming off and spiders webs in every corner that aside the food was ok...typical German kitchen and Juist prices.

So nah. Aber es ist halt so. Die Insulaner nehmen das Geld und und die vom Festland wollen essen. Ich komme nicht wieder. Das FlieÃband lässt grüssen.

Service and room are nice. The food quality is really low. Potatoes very over salted, fish overcooked, fries cooked only one time and uneatable, mushroom sauce swimming in butter... The cooking needs urgent upgrade to match the potential

A hot day, at 16:45 and we sat down outside at a table looking for a table in the shadow. But the service did want to place us to a table directly in front of the live music and in the sun.Reason: They wanted to prepare the table for dinner. We left without ordering anything.

We were there with 4 people. The hamburgers were really ok., the rib-eye steak only average. My wife had some veggies , could be better. They are offering large t-bone steaks (800-1000g, 50-60 EUR), but you would need to order those a day on advance. Ketchup and mayonnaise are served in small plastic tubes,The service was friendly, but not very present. They forgot a second bottle of water. We also needed to remind them to bring the wine that we ordered at the beginning.

Went to the Hafenrestaurant Juist together with my sister and her husband last month. The location is quite unique on the island: Overseeing the small port and yacht harbor! Even though the entrance reminds one more of an industrial character and is not very inviting, but the owners are trying to make it nice looking. Well, it looks a bit cheap, but this is not what you come here for:The restaurant itself is very cozy and indeed very busy, with many locals coming here for good and inexpensive meals. When we arrived we were quickly and friendly seated and given the menus. The beverage order was taken, but the delivery of the drinks took too long. But ok - the place was packed! For ordering the food it again took a little while, but the waiting time was worth the wile. We all had fish dishes cooked to perfection! And the best was: We had a variety of fish, which you were not able to get in any other restaurant on the island! The fish was freshly prepared and well seasoned: Well done and congratulations to the Chef!We will be back next time!

Cosy and friendly atmosphere. A nice pot of Earl Grey and freshly baked waffles with fresh cream and warm cherries.

Danzer's fine Achter'n Diek is the restaurant in the four-star superior hotel Achterdiek. For connoisseurs, Danzer's is one of the top addresses in Juist. Guests can enjoy regional specialties to Mediterranean inspired creations. The island sets the pace
We really enjoyed our dinner at Danzers. Not only the food was exceptionally good and creative but the front house staff made us feel very welcome. Everyone seemed to have a great knowledge about the food and drinks that were offered. We got served friendly and even it was busy everyone had time for a smile. We appreciated dining in this warm environment. The food was fantastic and I highly recommend the deer with macadamia crust. If I remember it right it got accompanied by some flavorful grilled pumpkin wedges. My partner had chosen the scallops as an entrée and I was lucky enough to try one before they were all gone. He loved them, they were cooked to absolute perfection and fall apart in your mouth. The flavor was also wonderful, naturally sweet, we both love seafood. My partner doesnât like dessert much so I had the parfait for myself. It came with a soft gooey warm brownie and I believe some quince jam. And again the flavors were so carefully balanced, sweet, sour, the cold parfait and the hot brownie. We loved it. After dinner they have a cozy bar waiting for you where you can sit, chat and order some martinis. The whole experience was fantastic and we will be back for sure.

As every year we went there several times. The menu card did not change but all what we chose had very good quality. "Linsensuppe", "Backkartoffeln mit Lachs" (or with "Matjes", or with "Kräuterquark", even "Bockwurst mit Kartoffelsalat". Very nice location at the western end of Juist.Self service is ok.
