This place is famous for welcoming ships into the port of Hamburg.Every time a big ship passes they say hello and play the national anthem, followed by detailed technical information about the ship.Big terrace, prices are fairly high, service was good and friendly. All looks pretty new, like recently renovated. It started raining, but 10 minutes before they had closed a transparent curtain, so you still could see the ships very well. Our kids adored the place and we stayed for a good hour or so.One minus point is you have to pay 0,70⬠per hour for the parking. Do not forget to present your ticket to the service, otherwise it is 2⬠per hour. I guess that due to a lack of public parking in the area they need to close their parking off, but it should be inclusive for customers. All in all an interesting classic, but I am not sure if I will be back.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this experience. The restaurant is set in a very old building in Buxtehude. The atmosphere is homely and cosy - though it can get very warm inside. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and produced an English menu when requested. There is a lot of choice on the menu; I tried the Weinerschnitzel (Vierländer Style), which was very good. Portion size was very generous, I was stuffed to the gills and couldn't finish the plate. A big, hearty, homely meal. I can't wait to go back.
Went here with a big family group including a small child in a stroller. All of us were seated comfortably and the stroller was accommodated. The servers were polite and attentive and handled all of our requests good-naturedly (including the uncle who ordered almost entirely off the menu...) Food and drinks came quickly. The portions were titanic ('German-sized' is quickly replacing 'Texas-sized' as my go-to expression for a heaped plate) and the food was delicious, German-style Greek (a little more pork and cabbage, a little less garlic and 'scharf' spice). I saw lamb, chicken, beef, pork (soooo much pork) and even turkey steak (?) at the table all attractively plated, balanced by fresh vegetables and enhanced with a lovely, creamy Tzatziki. We waddled away greatly satisfied, having enjoyed a most convivial and tasty experience!PS Quick German culinary fun-fact, a plate of 'Peperoni' will not get you a plate of spicy Italian sausage, you will in fact get a plate of spicy, pickled Pepperoncini peppers... the more you know...

Went here with my relatives who live in Jork. Great local fish restaurant and I tried the Herring salad as a starter followed by the Hallibut and both dishes were fantastic. Very traditional North German food with fried potatoes and washed down with the local beers. Would highly recommend this place for authentic local food.

If ever consider to spent few days in a beautiful German country side you should definitely visit this established. Two hundred years old hotel offer everything what you need if you want to go back in time, staff is extremely friendly and even if they will not understand exactly what you want they will do everything to make you happy. Adorable place worth of visit and what a dinner we had!!!!! There was everything absolutely you could not eat all of it, I hope I will be back there one day. There is a parking space for guests and it takes about an hour to get there from Hamburg airport. Enjoy!!!!!

Although the food was fresh and of very good quality, it wasn't enough to cover for the unacceptable lack of speed and attention of the staff. They all seemed set in their little world of what each and every one of them was supposed to do and not to do. We had 4 waiters look at us many, many, many .... times before finally one decided to come and take the order (at least 15 minutes, it felt like half an hour). The food arrived fairly quickly and was pleasant in presentation and taste. To pay the bill, again, the same ritual!! Another 10 minutes. Are you kidding? And if you're asking, no the place wasn't full (nor was it empty).I can only recommend to go anywhere else but here. Is half an hour of your life wasted like this worth the food? NO!!!

The Mühle Jork in Borstel is something quite special with its haute cuisine and historic feel. Guests enjoy a whole range of culinary delights as well as the wonderful hospitality of the owners Kerstin Schulze and Danny Riewoldt. The restaurant is within
We came here for lunch. The lunch menu consists of two starters, four mains and two (three?) desserts. We had an excellent red wine with different starters and mains. The food is mainly locally sourced. An excellent olive oil with bread basket arrived first. A ginger orange soup was next, which was tasty, but much better was my neighbors choice of beetroot, rilettes and roasted hazelnuts, which really shone. Main was beef entrecôte, accompanied by herby mash and diverse root veg. It was quite a lot of meat, so I couldn't finish it. The root veg was tasty, as was the mash, which was benefiting from a lovely olive oil. Dessert was a chocolate mousse with oranges. It was too sweet for my taste, and I was happy I could switch it for my neighbors cassis and apricot sorbet. If you have the chance try the sorbet - it has a fantastic texture, almost creamy. All in all a very pleasant dinner, although you have to be able to afford the prices.
