Food was Ok in this touristy restaurant, our group had cakes and icecreams and soup. Not the best we'd had in this area and they could not cope with my Gluten free requirements. The restaurant has a german hunting lodge feel, watch the waterfall being turned on every 1/2 hour.

Had dinner at the restaurant twice during our stay in Bad Schandau. The views towards the river Elbe are beautiful and watching the ships go by was very relaxing. The service was very good, attentive but not intrusive. The quality of the food was amazing, we were there during the " "Spargelzeit" (asparagus season) and enjoyed the freshly prepared food very much.It is a bit more pricey than some other places in town, but for a special treat it is well worth it.

This is a quirky and comfortable restaurant on the bank of the river just outside Krippen. We arrived at spargel zeit, asparagus time! We were treated to delicious plates of food, I enjoyed the salmon. The staff were not phased by my gluten free requirements. We finished the meal with caramelised asparagus, surprisingly good!A popular restaurant, so arrive early or book!

We dropped in here for a quick lunch when out walking. We both had the potato soup, which was creamy, warm and filling. Perhaps worth mentioning that it does contain bacon, so even without the sausage, it is not a vegetarian option. The service was fast and efficient.

My wife and I had dinner there. I had the Bohemian Schweize mushroom (pfefferlinge) with cream with knödel (dumpling). Mine was very tasty and filling. She had the trout with butter and lemon which she said was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive as they could be, as it was busy. Happily recommend. Only criticism is that she thought that the side salad dressing was a bit of a let down. I thought it was fine.

After visiting the markets in Hrensko wears dinner at this restaurant. Seating in available inside and outside and waiters were very friendly. Highly recommend the Palatschinken with Cinnamon and Sugar (Chechz Crepes).

Veggie choice: 5/5We were based in Königstein (Saxonian Switzerland), and this restaurant wasdefinitely worth the 20 minute drive. The interior design is modern, the ingredientswere fresh and organically certified. There are five vegetarian choices (some of which were vegan) on the menu, and the breadth of these culinary options were very appealing. We had the "Gebratenes Soja-Gyros" (fried soja gyros) with grilled courgette and peppers with potatoes and tzatziki. It was very tasty, and the portions were generous. There was also an excellent all-vegan salad bar, from which we had a starter. The alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks options were also very good. The waiter was knowledgeable and he had a dry sense of humor; he was patient and friendly. Our party of five had five mains, and they didn't bat an eyelid when we took a while to decide on our order, and then one person changed his mind.We are not sure whether they have an English-language menu, but in our party there were enough members who could translate the menu from the German. As desserts we had a vegan 'crème brûlée' with a mango mousse - the mousse was delicious, the 'crème brûlée' was fine. (Not really at all like a dairy version.) The menu stated that they had vegan ice cream, but when we asked about the flavours it turned out that only strawberry would be vegan - so I was a bit disappointed about the choices, but also had a "vegetarian" vanilla-flavoured scoop, which was very nice. The only regret I had was that we went there only once, as it would definitely warrant a return trip.

The food was not that bad. But the overall experience was so 1990s with dozens mostly fried meals on the menu. If they shift to more locally-inspired cuisine products it might be better.

We came here for lunch and dinner. Tasty food with comfortable seating area. Absolutely love its seasoning and decor.Note that there is no english menu, only Czech and German menu. Please prepare your google translate (make sure it can offline work) , internet (wifi) may not work at all time, the waitress there is really nice but be patient that she is always busy.Children friendlyCan walk around the place. A nice farm next the restaurant with sheep and horses. A playground nearby as well.
