Die Bäckerei Winkelmann ist ein Familienbetrieb mit vier Filialen in den Hamminkelner Dörfern Brünen, Dingden, Mehrhoog und in Hamminkeln selbst. Im Café in Hamminkeln gibt es vom gut besuchten Frühstücksbüffet über einen Mittagstisch und eine reichhaltige Auswahl an Kuchen, Torten und Eisspezialitäten den ganzen Tag über verlockende kulinarische Angebote. Brot und Brötchen von Winkelmann schmecken uns ausgezeichnet und werden auch von Kollegen und Freunden bei Feiern stets gelobt. In Dingden und Mehrhoog gibt es ebenfalls Cafés, die Filiale in Brünen ist mit einem Stehcafé etwas kleiner, aber auch dort kann man Eiscreme bekommen. Praktisch für Berufstätige sind auch die Ãffnungszeiten ab sechs Uhr morgens während der Woche. Sonntags gibt es ab 8 Uhr frische Backwaren für ein gemütliches Wochenend-Frühstück.

The restaurant is rather big. Never the less the staff is extremely charming. The food is well prepared and served. It gives you a positive view on the German taste. European dishes are also worthwhile

Been many times, our local Schnitzel Restaurant.The food is good, the meat is fresh and well cooked. No pressed meat here. Family run and excellant value for money. The also have grill evenings in Summer.

My favourite place in the entire area... When I travel to Germany, I always make a point of Visiting Gasthaus Kuepper in Dingden... The place is owned and operated by Herman Kuepper, one of the best Wirte in Germany... It is a must see...Henry KloepperToronto, Canada

Marienthaler Gasthof is way off the beaten path in Germany, but they have a great series of concerts which is what took me there. The hotel is a B&B/restaurant. The staff was friendly but their English was limited. No elevator, of course, so if you're not use to stairs, make sure your suitcase is small. But the room was fantastic. VERY roomy & the beds were very comfy. The bathroom was of course tiny, but clean, which is what matters.Breakfast the next morning was very good.

we found this restaurant by chance recently. Excellent located on the edge of the forest. we sat on the terrace to watch the kids in the playground. But the interior is also very interesting, a warm and welcoming environment that I have rarely met. And frankly, I belive we ate here the best schnitzel in Germany so far !!! cakes are also delicious.

Auf unserem Weg zur Dingdener Heide sind wir mit dem Fahrrad dort vorbei gekommen, spontan entschlossen wir uns zu einem Mittagessen dort. Wir haben entspannt im Garten gesessen, und eine freundliche Bedienung hat uns sehr gut bedient. Das Essen war sehr Lecker, die Teller vorgewärmt So das das Essen heià serviert wurde, gerne werden wir dort erneut einkehren

Used to have a fantastic reputation, we were bitterly disappointed and felt they were still cashing in on their former glory. My room was dreadful, felt grubby and I reckon the curtains could have stood up in their own without a rail. Slept badly because of the noise, and was up at 5.30 ready to flee. The room and the food were awful but the bill was huge.

Not wanting McD... we decided to searech for a restaurant in Hamminkeln. Quite near the highway so we wouldn't have to spend hours to dine.Roadhouse showed up after a couple minutes off the highway in the direction of Hamminkeln (left).Nice bikers atmosphere, helpfull staff. Allthough fully booked they organised a table for us.A compact menu with birgers, ribs and sort a likes. We took different burgers which proved to be tastefull and quite a bite. One portion of fries was enough.
