Reviews on German food in Grindelwald, Canton of Bern, Switzerland. Grindelwald is postcard-perfect, a charming example of a Swiss ski resort. There are slopes for all experience levels, plus plenty of snowy activities for those who don’t ski, such as sledding, hiking or snowshoeing. Not feeling particularly active? Just cozy up by crackling fire and enjoy the merry atmosphere. After a long day, nothing’s better than lingering over a pot of Swiss fondue and a glass of crisp wine as you plan the next day’s adventures.

This is the main rest top on the hike from Schynige Platte to First. It's also a B&B for a low price you can stay in dorm-type rooms with shared bath. We stopped for soup and hot chocolate. Was not over-whelmed with the food, but can beat the location and views. Worth a quick stop. The WC is outside and you need to get a key (and probably buy something) from the proprietors. Prices are typical for swiss mountain huts (e.g. not cheap). Used be called Weber Hut.

Stylish, upbeat & welcoming, the Husi Bierhaus is a unique bar and restaurant concept in the heart of the beautiful Swiss Alps.... We offer an abundance of choice with a wide range of high quality food and drink, brought to the table with the highest lev
Went with a large bunch of friends The owners and staff did everything possible to accommodate our group. Best part going in large numbers is sampling many items on the menu - EVERYTHING was delicious. Know for the pork knuckle (amazing), I had the noodle shrimp salad and had bites of numerous delicious entrees. Only regret is not going more than once. Owners Sandy and Shep are the best! The group shot is how we felt after the meal.
We walked past Chalet Milchbach on 30 July and it was shut. And it didn't look like it was closed because of their rest day. It looks shut long-term so don't rely on it for a stop while walking from the Hotel Wetterhorn to or from Pfiingstegg. And I have to say it looked run down like something from the 'Hansel & Gretel' story! Based on the other review and what I saw it is best avoided even if it does reopen at some point - unless it gets new owners and a seriously expensive refit. Spooky.
