Looks are definitely deceiving - was expecting rustic seafood type but surprised by fascinating and delicious menu. (Salmon tartar and kimchi cucumber!) Setting was wonderful with views over Wadden Sea. Staff friendly and helpful and super fast service. Would recommend.

Visited today as a group of 7 - reservations are required. Specialises in fish and other local dishes. 5 of us had various fish dishes that were excellent and 2 had Wiener Schnitzels that were average. A bit more expensive than most restaurants here but worth paying for.

We visited the restaurant for lunch and sat outside on comfy chairs. The setting is beautiful and very peaceful. We started with homemade bread, carrot houmous and sesame butter. I ordered the salmon for my main course which was absolutely delicious! The portions are a great size and the quality of the food is superb. I would definitely recommend visiting the Duke for lunch and drinks!

After visiting the light tower in Vesterhever we went for lunch in âDe Kohstallâ. We had a plaice/ âScholleâ with fresh potatoes. The entry salad was so much a trip down memory lane to the 80s and the fish breading had very much egg, making it a combination of fish and thin omelette. Unusual but tasted ok. A bit pricy compared to other places and the quality.

We visited the 2nd of Jan 2016 so they still had the small Christmas Menu so not much choice,but the fish was good and the beer was cold, service friendly and fast, prices are reasonable, as its next to the main road its a good stop off point before St P O where everything is more expensive.

Although from the outside and the inside this restaurant bar does not look like much it has a very friendly and competent owner who runs the place. He studied cooking and has a knowledge about diets and food. It is a simple place and worth a stop. Prices are very affordable and great value for money. The menu is "orally" but if he has it you will get it. Dogs are welcome to!

Excellent little restaurant well hidden behind the Eider dike. The building is more than 200 years old with some very interesting old style tiles on the walls and original furniture. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere (especially outside in the garden) is very enjoyable. The food is excellent.

I can't stress enough how good the food was here. We came across this restaurant by pure chance since it was the closest food serving place to where we stayed. I wasn't expecting much (it doesn't look like much from the outside, not even on the inside) but I was truly pleasantly surprised. The staff was great and we ended up eating here all 3 nights of our stay.

We had a great evening at Die Fliegerei! This restaurant has a new chef and team since April and they perform very well.We were a group of 9 and all had 3 courses. The staff was excellent, very friendly (but with the typical northern German slowness) and communicative. The food was amazing! From salads with smoked wild boar to the salmon terrine to tagliatelle with chanterelles we started very good. The main courses were all at a high performance level. We had different meat and fish dishes with products of excellent quality. The desserts closed a wonderful dinner and we had the pleasure to talk to the head chef.The team around chef Marco Diebold is very passionate about what they do and how they do it. He and his maitre d' know what they do and why they combine this wine to that dish. All in all it is worth taking the car to drive to the airfield and have a relaxed and culinary high performing evening. We would definitely go back there (in fact, some of us went a second time two days later)!

Wir hatten ein sehr leckeres Abendessen in Kerlins Kupferpfanne in Garding.Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und auch die Bedienung lieà keine Wünsche offen.Die verschiedenen Gerichte mit Röstis waren alle sehr empfehlenswert. Wir können die Kupferpfanne nur empfehlen.
