This alm is at the top og the Flachau. You can reach this by Startet 3 lift or by the cablecar from Wagrain. It has nice sitting area outside and inside and build in alm style with woods. It is normally crowded and sometimes you have to wait to get a table. The food here is good and the prices are resonable. Try the traditional austrian desserts, they are realy great. The service here is quick and good. We ate lunch here 3 times during our week stay in Flachau. Nice alm.

Situated by the top station of the Achter Jet cable car, in the heart of the ski area, this is the most popular lunch restaurant. It is selv-service, offering a huge choice of Austrian country cuisine and huge pieces of cakes, it gets full very early, so it is best to arrive just after 11am to get a seat. In addition to the restaurant, the place has a small bar, offering all types of typical ski-drinks - gluhwein, Willi mit birne, Radler, and also a small drink called Heidelbeertraum - home-made blueberry liqueur with whipped cream, delicious!

I've got recommended from my father to visit Auhofalm during my vacation in Austria. And just as he told me, the place was super nice! Very nice environment, delicious food, service minded stuff, good price, and they accept credit card (not all restaurants in that area do that).

By Star Jet 3 ski lift
One of numerous restaurants on the ski slopes of Flachau (red slope nr 3 by Star Jet 3 chairlift), but numer two on my personal popularity list. Good Austrian country cuisine, with sauerkraut, stuffed knodel, sausages, to name just the few. Self-service.
Out for a day of langlaufen (xc-skiing) from nearby Flachau, we found this place right before we got to the turnaround point about 10km up the trail. We expected rustic charm and found it: stuffed marmots guarding the door, wooden beams overhead, flagstone floors, authentic kachelofen in the corner, and a friendly dog wandering freely around the premises. What we didn't expect was a delightful and truly homecooked meal. Trout fresh from the nearby pond and schnitzel done better than your grandma made it. Call ahead the day before to book the specialties menu which included venison and other traditional German / Austrian fare. This gasthaus might not be worth a pilgrimage to the mountains all on its own, but if you're skiing, hiking or cycling in the area, THIS is the place to stop for provender well above the usual mountain hut standard.

We come here every summer, often and regularly. Wonderful setting with a summer terrace and a gorgeous view of the lake. The best service in the region, we always stick with the same waitress. Good food and beverages, we recommend the fresh fish. Super children friendly, so much entertainment and playgrounds

This restaurant is modern with nice interior, but the inatentive stuff costs it higher rating. We viited it just for drink in the afternoon. There was a few guests. I have to call the service on myself, because they just not notice us. We ordered four drinks an wait a couple of minutes to be served. As we finished, I have call the service again for receip. Coffee, tea, apple juice and hot chocolate is not too much to remember. When You visit this restaturant, just be patient

Huge bar/dancing/restaurant right on the skislopes of Flachau, Austria. Flachau, near Salzburg is part of Snow Space Salzburg. It appears that all those that ski and all those that do not gather in the Dampfkessel to party at the end of the day until 10 pm. I have never seen such a big crowd before, with people old and young dancing on tables and even on the bar! (Some nights there were gogo girls doing pole dancing). Many people were inebriated but in the best spirits. In the restaurant section they offer good food (schnitzel, burgers).
