Rustical restaurant with inside and outside eating areas. Steaks and cooked on a woodburning fire inside the restaurant guests can watch this too. Interior is dated but clean, outside seating is wooden tables and benches. Quality of the food is fair as well as the price.

Food and drinks of reasonable quality as can be expected of a museum restaurant. But service level appeared to be very poor with staff uninterested, favouring their friends amongst the patrons, serving dishes incomplete and not even correcting this when asked. The walls are decorated with all kinds of awards for hospitailty, but a proper look shows these date from many years ago. And that is exactly how we experienced this place.
Whilst most restaurants in this town are rather non distinct, the Bistro has a lovely ambience. Next door is the rather upmarket hotel restaurant so don't mix the two unless you are not on a limited budget.
I ordered for a grilled chicken It was tasty and well grilled with chilly flakes it reminds of tandoori chicken back in India
