The restaurant has a very nice / elegant atmosphere. The food was very good. Not an everyday restaurant, but for a good occasion I highly recommended.

Thomahof specialises in many variety of cheeses. They also have a large coffee house with indoor and outdoor seating. All the normal coffees are available together with a vast array of cakes.

Friendly place to visit for a lunch and/or dinner. Good italian meals, especially nice pizza. Good prices.

Hochwertige Speisen in uriger Atmosphäre.

Having consulted TripAdvisor (again) my overseas business guest and I decided to try out the restaurant Zum Claashäuschen one Tuesday evening. Even though I have lived in Leverkusen for many years I have never been here before and I was very favourably impressed. Having parked in the extensive free car park we walked into the main part of the restaurant and were greeted by a friendly young man who installed us at a table close to the window. He brought over the blackboard displaying the âtodayâs specialsâ and took our drinks order. I had a ginger based Prosecco type drink which was suitably refreshing and cool natural mineral water. For starters I went for the antipasta and my guest chose the salmon on potato âreibkuchenâ (fritters or pancakes). Both went down well. For the main course I couldnât resist the veal liver on a bed of mashed potatoes while my guest decided to try the vegetarian quiche. Again, both dishes were nicely presented and delicious. I ordered a quarter litre of house red Rioja wine with the liver which was a perfect accompaniment. We passed on a dessert although we both had an espresso and I took a tiny, mini panna cotta on the side. Finally we were offered a digestif to complete the meal â I took an Obstbrand. Service throughout was quick and efficient. Both young gentlemen who served us made us feel very welcome and I know that Iâll be back again soon.

Schmuck Kastl is a Austrian Restaurant in a small village outside of Burscheid. The interior is cozy, traditional Austrian decor, coupled with lots of teddybears that are placed almost everywhere in the restaurant. The menu definitely is Austrian inspired, and features dishes on the heavier side. At the prices charged, you expect an upscale version of it or at least something more special than what you would get in other places, where similar food is served. Well, what we got wasn't bad. It lacked a bit of salt here and there. But it wasn't spectacular and too expensive for what it was.The service is friendly, but not overly attentative. And on a busy day there can be quite a wait. 2.5 hours for a 3 course menu definitely is on the long side.If you like hearty and heavy cuisine and like teddybears so much that you don't mind paying a little extra, Schmuck Kastl isn't a bad choice. If your focus is food and value, there are better places, even in the area.

Excellent food we have eaten here on a number of occasions the food is fresh and well cooked with a wide variety on offer. It is a little expensive but this is reflected in the quality of the food served.
