Things to do in Brilon
We come to eat here often. It's a nice little restaurant. Nothing classy or chic, but it's always like coming home. In Brilon there are two types of humans: the first typ loves "Huberta" and always gets there french fries, Schnitzel, Burgers and Currywurst here, the other typ don't like it. My family and friends and me we love "Huberta" and go there even once in a while.

This restaurant serves outstanding, Michelin-grade, contemporary German food!!!Note: it is part of Germany's Michelin GuideFrom the appetizers to the entrees, just follow the recommendations of the owner, Mr. Burkard! The menu changes periodically and the specials of the day are always excellent!!!From venison to fish, all the food is absolutely top grade!!Note: If you are in the area in April, you must absolutely come and taste the local asparagus!!!! The season only last 4-5 weeks.Good wine selection, but, again, just follow Burkard's suggestions!!While off the beaten path (it is about 80km from Dortmund) it is well worth the detour!!!The restaurant is part of a small hotel (Hotel am Wallgraben) and they have a website: www.hotel-am-wallgraben.deThe phone, including country code is: 49 2961 4044Enjoy!!!
We went here with several couples and five Kids. I took my border collie with me and he was most welcome. The staff is really quick and really friendly. The caramel machiato was superb! Would recommend this any time.

We ate here on two occasions during our stay in the hotel Rech. The food is great and more than enough.Desserts are great (if you can fit them in your stomach after the main course).Service is excellent and very friendly. They check regulary if everything is ok.Highly recommended.

Just called on spec as we were staying down the road and had a most enjoyable main course meal only. Beaftifully set out dining room or an alternative alfresco area to the front. We opted for a window table at the rear of the restaurant with lovely elevated views over the wooded slopes beyond. No English menu but a head waiter who could translate most things quite clearly. Having ordered our main course we were treated to an appetiser which was a small and very tasty pot of a house soup. It's the little touches that make the difference. I had a fillet of Zander, something that I have never tried before, and it was fish cooked to perfection. My wife had a schnitzel dish which looked so appetising. Both dishes were accompanied by a good selection of well cooked vegetables and my wife also got a huge side salad. We I was driving we only drank water but there was a reasonable wine list and selection of other alcoholic drinks should they be wanted.

Worth a wander to- a very busy but ideally situated cafe constisting of a few huts and a large outer terrace. The huts can get stuffy when full, but there is an open fire to warm yourself against, which is nice on a cold winters day. When the sun shines you can also sit by the stream outside that runs by. Traditional german food (sausage, cauliflower, schnitzel, chicken) and drink (Glühwein, beer etc) but also hot chocholate. We went to the counter so can not comment on the service, but include it on your hike for a break even if just to take 10 minutes to admire the scenery or the nearby donkies !

On a beautiful location there is this nice restaurant overlooking the hills. The staff was very nice and the curry wurst was delicious. The interior was also very nice and cozy and unlike many other restaurants in the area it was also very hygienic.
