Visited the restaurant and had very good lunch, fishteller, with three sorts of heering. From the restaurant, which is located high above, you have an amazing look over the Elb. Very nice service.

Wir waren hier, nachdem wir uns die Altstadt von Lauenburg angesehen haben. Es war Mittagszeit und wir wollten Essen, das Lokal war nicht sehr voll und wir bekamen einen Tisch direkt am Fenster, sodass wir einen wunderschönen Blick von oben auf die Elbe hatten. Wir haben einmal Matjes mit Bratkartoffeln und Scholle Finkenwerder Art bestellt. Die Scholle würde mit Petersilienkartoffel, flüssiger Butter und einen frischen Salat serviert. Es hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt. Am frühen Nachmittag würde noch Tanztee angeboten , wo es auch Torten gab. Sehr nettes Lokal , Essen top . Wir kommen gerne mal wieder hierher.

On a beautiful May Saturday evening, we made our first visit to the 5th generation family owned restaurant in the tiny village of Witzeeze. After a garden salad, the main course arrived at the appropriate time. One of us had the flounder (maischolle) and the other the Stroganoff. The portions were generous and the meal was quite tasty. The desserts on offer were declined as we could eat no more. Service was professional, attentive and friendly. We will return.

Das sommerliche Wetter am 8.07.18 nutzten viele Gäste zu einem Besuch am See und der Terasse des Gasthauses Lanzer See.Offensichtich waren an diesem Tag Küche und Service hoffnungslos überfordert. Erst nach einer knappen halben Stunde wurde die Bestellung entgegengenommen. Danach wurden falsche Getränke serviert. Auf die bestellten Gerichte mussten wir über 100 Minuten warten. Das Niveau der Küche war nicht überzeugend. Unmut machte sich ebenfalls an Nachbartischen breit, u. a. auch deshalb, weil Gäste, welche später eingetroffen waren, deutlich früher bedient wurden. Alles in allem eine chaotische Speisemeisterei, die noch viel hinzulernen muss.

Great little place to have some really tasty Greek food in the middle of Bleckede, or traditional German food if you like. Staff very attentive & friendly too. We ate outside by the high Street watching the people of Bleckede go by. Like most people in this area, English is hardly used, so it's best to get up to speed with your German language skills. That said, the people are very friendly to the British and some will try to speak to you in English. A wonderful little restaurant in a great little German town on the banks of the Elbe river.

Stayed one night, in the Building Next to the restaurant. The Hotel has 3 Building Next to or nearby for accommodation. The room was a single room with a very nice view of the Elbe.Rooms are clean and nice, but old fashioned.Breakfast and the restaurant are typically German, good and well-made food, served by a friendly staff, at very good prices.

Centrally located in the middle of the old town we enjoyed a lovely breakfast with attentive service sitting on the terrace overlooking the Elbe. Good wifi a bonus too. Handy for the paddle steamer which unfortunately wasn't running during the week.Highly recommended

We visited the Restaurant Altes Zollhaus in September last year and were very positively surprised.We had an excellent dinner with local specialities at surprisingly moderate prices.Everywhere you look, you get the feeling that this is a well-run operation, with the proprietor regularly checking in on us while serving us a selection of fresh, well-presented local foods.On entering, the place has a slightly old-fashioned feel, with a bar on the right, but the dining room is great, with a nice veranda to sit outside, as well as whole corner full of toys and books for children, making this place a great stop-over for families also.We are very much looking forward to our next visit and to stopping over at this hidden gem.

passing through town we stopped at this place for lunch (main meal in Germany) and were happy we did. nice setting for small town Germany (formerly DDR).good food, good service an allround very good experience.
