Welcome to our cosy Arbersee House! Located directly on the banks of the beautiful Lake GroÃer Arbersee, we are the perfect meeting point for all hikers and day trippers. Enjoy spectacular views of the lake from our welcoming sun terrace and let us spoil
The restaurant has been completely rebuilt, using the old building plans but with modern materials and safety standards. Access for wheelchairs. Part of the Fürst von Hohennzollern group.Plenty of tables inside and out, with parking opposite the restaurant. Gets busy at the week-ends. We found even on a busy day the service was good and the meals served quickly. A good selection of meals and very good views of the lake make this a place to visit and remember.

Good location for some of the guest houses that are situated on the top of Bayerisch Eisenstein and the main waiter is very friendly. We went twice during our stay in Bayerisch Eisenstein and had a good time. They offer a good selection of local food. The portions are generous (be aware that the Kaiserschmarrn easily serves 2 as a dessert), so good value.

We did not know that this restaurant was in operation until we returned early one day from an outing with the Waldbahn. Since it was mid afternoon we decided to stop there for coffee and cake. What a fortunate choice! We had their apple cake and it was delicious! I would have loved to have a second piece, it was so good, but knew it would have been more than I could have eaten. Unfortunately we never came back from our outings early enough again to repeat this experience.Thank you very much for your compliment. We are pleased that you love our apple cake!

The restaurant welcomed with music outside. Nice place to sit, good food and the musicians came inside.

We only went in needing a hot drink after visiting an art gallery next door which gave us a voucher to spend on refreshments there (the gallery has no café). We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. Schmugglerhütte (Smugglerâs cottage) is a welcoming wooden chalet with long tables and a number of small windows with charming curtains. We were there on a Sunday afternoon when a jolly live music played (live music, we were told, is there on some evenings too). The restaurant serves rather tempting homemade snacks, hot dishes, homemade cakes, all reasonably priced. Unfortunately the menu is in German only (unlike as in many other restaurants in this border village), so no Czech or English and the staff speak German only. So we had to try our very rusty school German and hands to order our drinks and snacks but it was worth it.

Visited in March towards the end of the skiing season. This restaurant is situated on the Grosse Arber in the Nature Park of the Bayerischer Wald. Recently renovated, the restaurant is open all year round. Accessible by ski lift. From a party of four, three had the salad plate, and nobody was disappointed. The Dampfnudel is a specialty.

It looks like german pub and it is very good restaurant. Indeed shocking, a few hundred meters by grubby czech restaurants in Zelezna Ruda is clear restaurant with the willing staff and good offer the delicious food. Don' t eat inside, but beyond limits !

It is a very average restaurant. Good soup, meat average taste and preparation. Side-dishes are a problem, especially doubtful baked potatoes and green beans disgusting. Not everything can be cooked in a frying pan with strange fat. Staff at the lower level of capacityThe second place in Bayerisch Eisenstein? What for heavens are the other restaurants?!

The Berghaus Sonnenfels - at 1,150 m. The restaurant is located in the middle of the Great Arber, a large terrace for sunbathing in summer and winter, a large forest playground. Rest area on beautiful hiking tours. Local cuisine. In the winter, in the mid
Every waiter should go there and see how theses people work. I tzhink it is badly organized but what their staff can deliver is amazing. Very good atmosphere, best spätzle we had in almost a week.

Good traditional food , lots of meat, salads but they do not have any English translations of their menu which made ordering for those of us who are fussy quite difficult. There is no reason to expect English menus in Germany but it does encourage English travellers to stop thereJust outside is a beautiful lake and children's play area and best of all it is an ideal stop on local walks and cycle paths.Well worthy visit.
