Based on the recommendation we received we were expecting something more than an ordinary Gasthaus. The premises has been a restaurant for over 100 years. We arrived towards the end of the noon hour. I ordered the breaded cutlet and my wife a Zander fillet. Each was accompanied by a yogurt salad and potatoes.Service was relatively quick and the salad was excellent, if typical Gasthaus fare. The two main courses each had the look of ready-prepared food from a restaurant supplier. The cutlet was covered in a uniform mantel of bread crumbs. The Zander came as a fillet of half a fish, minus the head and tail. It too was so uniformly formed that it seemed ready-prepared by the supplier. Each main course was of average quality, no better and no worse. The accompanying potatoes were the same. The total bill came to 36,40â¬. If an ordinary meal at an ordinary price is OK for you, you will probably not be disappointed. We expected more for the price charged.
Bei einer Wanderung sind wir zufällig am Rhön-Adler hängen geblieben. Es ist ein einfaches Gasthaus; die Wirtin ist aber sehr freundlich und hat uns auch nachmittags kleine Speisen serviert.

I was an US Army Officer in the 2nd Squadron 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment stationed in BK in the early 60s. I visited the Bratwurst Glockle weekly if not more often. Local beer on tap, great food in a beautiful restaurant. We always went to the 2nd floorI returned with my son last year. You can go back. Great food and also wine. The local food is hardy but delicious. I was overjoyed to return with my son Pat Berrigan, Jr. Great place, great memories.

The restaurant is nice and in a lovely rural location. However, we cannot recommend staying the night in the rooms above the restaurant especially not in room 16. There is noise and activity from the car park and the restaurant and bar are open till late and resume early. Tuesday is the only quiet day.

This town far from any known place offers relax and stay especially for elderly thanks to the park and the spa. This restaurant is just at the entrance of the Kurhaus. I had dinner outside in a very hot evening. The menu offers Greek-like dishes among others and I took calamari gyros. It was not bad honestly, nothing complicated but the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Cheap prices as main dishes are around 10-15â¬. Portions are even too abundant. Good selections of beers. Service not super fast but ok . Too many flies!!! Good offer of ice creams!

Bad Kissingen isn't a place you go for the food. Most restaurants serve your average German/Franconian food, so that Schubert's provided a welcome change. I was lucky and got a table on Saturday night without having reserved. It helped that I was alone (although this can sometimes be detrimental). I got a table in the old, original part of the restaurant, had very attentive service, and enjoyed my food. The cuisine is more nouveau German than very Franconian - so if you are looking for typical local cuisine, you might want to go elsewhere. But if you want a new take on classic dishes, this is the place to go.And of course they have a great wine list and the prices are reasonable.

This small restaurant attracted us with its pastries. The short menu of favorites caused us to change our luncheon plans. My wife and I ordered two different pork dishes and shared tastes. The meat was perfectly done and the surface was savory and slightly crisp. The pastas on each plate were covered with tasty mushroom sauces. The service was efficient and the beverage selections were on a quality level with the food. The desserts were more than a match, both in quality and quantity. Alas, the hair difference between 4 and 5 points was found in my wife's sauce. A chef this good should know better than to prepare a meal without a hair net. We presume this is not a common failure so, we give the Schloss Aschach Kaffeerestaurant a qualified but enthusiastic recomendation.
At Kunzmann's you experience culinary delights - modern and light, thanks to fresh and regional specialties. Due to the changing menu you will experience the diversity and true taste of Rhön products.
Es gibt immer "Wild" beim Kunzmann's ... der Wildburger ist sehr speziell und tatsächlich eine Herausforderung - unser Teenager war wirklich gefordert und beeindruckt
