I've been there many times when visiting the German colleagues in Ahrensburg, I'm just writing now my comments, reporting that's a very good greek restaurant with absolutely reasonable prices, and it's definitively recommended if you want to enjoy this kind of food.
Fisch Schloh offers always a fantastic fish throughout the years, tasted an excellent grilled salmon as daily dish. Excellent service, price very very good.
We stayed for a few days in the Park Hotel Ahrensburg, while visiting a local relative. Arriving at 2200 after a long trip from Belfast Northern Ireland we were surprised and delighted to find the hotel restaurant open and pleased to serve us. We had a truly delicious pea, mint and apple soup accompanied by fresh bread with a herb cream just what we needed after a long day.The next night we had a full dinner with excellent Riesling, a delicious "chef's surprise", a superb rack of lamb, and a fine guinea fowl as main courses, and an excellent chocolate dessert. This was a superb and unexpectedly good dining experience. Staff were friendly and amusing, and spoke excellent English. A really good experience.

Ahrensburg sits to the northeast of Hamburg and is famously known as its âgorgeous neighbor.â It should come then as no surprise that Schweinske moved to this Schleswig-Holstein town back in 2006: conveniently located right next to the train station, Schw
Our experience in this cosy restaurant next to the train station was very good. Good service, good food (solid, straightforward comfort food, do not expect any star quality) and excellent pricing. In fact, we were so satisfied that we came back two days later for breakfast before leaving town and moving on to our next holiday stop.

The Söbentein is a place for everyone. It stands for an uncomplicated service and a regional, fresh and innovativ kitchen. Unimportant which reason, this restaurant is "the place to be" in Ahrensburg.
"Soebentein" is the restaurant of the "Am Schloss" hotel in Ahrensburg, it's a very cozy place fully renovated few years ago. Had lunch break with colleagues, food was very good, as service and price.

Whenever I visit friends in Ahrensburg I have to satisfy my ex-pat cravings for good German pub food at "Berlin Milljöh". This time my friend chose the lunch special, Eisbein (pork knuckle) with sauerkraut, and I had my favorite Matjes Hausfrauenart (marinated herring with apple cream sauce - sounds weird, I know, but tastes great!) with Bratkartoffeln: sliced potatoes pan fried with bacon and onions. American adopted German sauerkraut, but, with their passion for bacon, why do they never cook home fries with bacon and onions to make Bratkartoffeln?
