Reviews on Gastropub food in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Victoria is a thriving city of heritage architecture and time-honored traditions like afternoon tea. With the ocean at its doorstep and wilderness in its backyard, it’s also a perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts. You can find everything from a world-class science and natural history museum to a blooming public park where peacocks roam freely, plus a range of unique shops, cafes and restaurants. And more cycling routes than any other Canadian city, providing a great way to explore the scenery.

The COMMONS is part of the 10 Acres family with a brand new, distinctive dining environment. Blending a modern, comfortable aesthetic with industrial accents, the COMMONS was made for the community, a warm and welcoming place to meet. Our locally based me
First place we stopped and grabbed dinner at once off our cruise ship. The restaurant is super cute and trendy. We loved that it was all organic and tasted fresh. The superior oysters were one of our favorites. The halibut fish and chips were delicious and were large pieces of halibut. The bacon in the clam chowder was really good too. Itâs a great location near the water and surrounded by tons of shops.

Hanks * A Restaurant. We think that says it all. Yeah we use mostly local, free run, hormone free, happy things. More importantly we use big flavors on them to create different things. The menu changes drastically week to week. We're open late, sometimes
Restaurant was recommended by a staff person at the Fish Store, so we tried it thinking it was BBQ, but it isn't. Small place with a couple tables, and bar stools at counter--friendly staff very serious about their food and cuts of meat being prepared with care. Gourmet dishes with menu changing regularly. Had pork belly burger with fried egg on top -- as that is one of their top sellers. Very good!

Glo Restaurant and Lounge offers unparalleled views of the Selkirk Waterway minutes from Downtown. The interior is comprised of floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the waterway and offers a sleek & modern design with inviting booths and plenty of seati
We picked this restaurant because of its ability to offer gluten free food, as someone with Celiac disease this is really important. It is a bit out of the way if you are staying downtown but it has a great location right on the water. They have a full gluten free menu with tons of options but what I liked best of all is that they have a * beside the items that could potentially have cross-contamination issues. I hate when I go to a restaurant, pick something from their gluten free menu only to find out from the server that it is in a shared deep fryer or there is potential for it to have gluten in it. This * made it easy for me to make a decision on what to have. The waitress was very knowledgeable about their gluten free items which is always reassuring. I had the Chicken pesto pasta, it was a large portion and full of flavour. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are a Celiac.Thank you for the review seasaltandsandcastle, We are always thrilled when we know we've succeeded in satisfying our guests- especially individuals with allergies. I am gluten free myself and I think we are very fortunate to have such a talented culinary team in our back of house.I hope you are able to join us again soon and try our gluten free pizza options.Morgan HassGuest Services [email protected]

Once a bank in the 1800's, this building is now one of the most beautiful pubs in the heart of Victoria, BC. Families are welcome until 9pm. Breakfast daily 7am, happy hour daily from 4-6pm and live music 7 nights a week. Perfect space for large parties o
Seven of us had supper here and everything worked to our advantage. We were seated upstairs in a back corner which meant we could visit and laugh without disturbing others. Even in a back corner, the bar was beautiful and inviting. The food was great and the waitress willing to tell us her favourites. I recommend the Salt Spring Mussels. However, others in our group had various meals and everyone raved about their orders. You cannot go wrong here.
