I had a lovely birthday supper where staff really made me feel special, with a complimentary glass of fizz and a lovely wrapped bag of homemade traybake to take home - a really lovely touch and showed their attention to detail as well as great customer service.The pub is quite delightful, atmospheric and quaint with many small areas to sit and drink and eat, though there is a small dining room at the back.Food was well cooked and delicious - our party tended to have fish of the day and steak and a vegetarian dish all being tasty and quite large portioned. Certainly one of the best dining places in Truro. It has a great bar with many selections of gin and wine and beer.

The food was good, carvery is good qualitySetting is good especially for old pub lovers. I'll go back to Pandora Inn, and recommended trying it yourself. One down side it is not child friendly, few toys for toddlers coloring book etc would be brill.Dear Wend196800Thank you for taking the time to review us and we are pleased that you enjoyed our food, setting and the character of the old building. We are more than a little disappointed with your comment that we are not child friendly as this is simply not the case - a big part of The Pandora inn's trade comes from the family market and we have tried to reflect this in some of the things we do which include having baby changing facilities, high chairs, crabbing kits for kids, and a dedicated under 12's menu which is printed on a separate A4 double sided sheet with the menu and sugar free drink options on one side and a word search and colouring in section on the reverse - we have crayons available so that children can 'play' while their parents chat. If you can't find something you need - such as the kids menu please just ask - we have a very friendly team who are always happy to help.With regardsThe Pandora Inn team

We visited on Sunday night after seeing the positive reviews on Tripadvisor.We didnât book (thereâs no option on the website but the team told us next time fill in the enquiry form and theyâll confirm.)Iâd recommend booking as there are only a finite number of tables and it is clearly very popular.For good reason! Despite the lack of booking the super friendly team made sure we were accommodated.Service was prompt but not rushed. Very chatty but not intrusive. Laid back but on the ball too.Food...terrific. We shared an indulgent Camembert together and then both had the burger. Bursting with great flavour and texture.Excellent selection of beer, nice wine list for the location. And value! We are Londoners and so the reasonable prices were very refreshingThank you team, it was lovely.
