We are an independently owned friendly village gastro pub and restaurant, just a stones throw from Silverstone. We have real ales on tap from local brewers as well as a carefully selected wine list. In the kitchen we are proud to work with a small selecti
We had a super lunch. Fish and the lovely dry crisp chips was delicious. My friend had chicken Caesar salad. Both plates were empty. No room for dessert although they looked delicious. The staff were so friendly and efficient. I can thoroughly recommend this establishment if you want a good meal.Thank you for your kind words and for your endorsement. We hope you will return well before your friend's next birthday !

We are located in the Northamptonshire countryside in the village of Shutlanger. The pub has a small but intricate interior with bar and restaurant. We serve gastro style food with locally sourced produce.
Having driven past The Plough on many occasions and threatened to stop for something to eat we took a more proactive approach and decided to go for lunch. Dodging the showers we plumped to sit outside in the sun - at least while it lasted - and were brought menus, drinks orders were taken and a very well kept Timothy Taylor's Boltmaker soon appeared and disappeared. Home cooked and freshly prepared dishes are available to suit most tastes, veggie options are on the menu, and appetites. It may have take us a while to call in but we will be returning before too long

The Butchers Arms has recently been brought back to life after being rescued by a group of enthusiastic locals. Now owned by a consortium of local villagers and investors, it has been completely refurbished, extended and remodelled. The Butchers Arms now
Staff were pleasant enough but not very efficient. Forgot to put in order for my daughter's veggie-burger so it arrived at least 10 minutes after the rest of our meals. The price of it was deducted frim our bill, however. Two of us had the belly pork confit - the skin was flabby (not crispy as per the menu) & impossible to cut & the radiccio accompaniment was burnt & unpleasant-tasting. Chips were extra though served in a basket meant they went cold quickly. The children's burgers came in over-cooked bread-buns & the burgers themselves looked like lumps of mince quickly stuck together - impossible to put in a chid's mouth! My son-in-law enjoyed his steak, but at £26 plus an extra £4 for peppercorn sauce it should have been good!Staff were obliging serving the children's ice-creams in bowls with cornets as well, but after we got the bill no-one came for our money so we had to pay at the bar.I chose this pub because of the good TA reviews but wouldn't visit it again.Hello BobblenoseWarwicks,I am so very disheartened to read this review and to see that you did not enjoy your experience..This is completely unacceptable and something that we have proudly eliminated since launching the new Butchers Arms concept (as you can see from the reviews below)I would be very grateful if you could drop me an email to [email protected] with the date and rough time of your visit so that I can look into why/how your visit was not up to the high standards that we have been pushing so well since our new menu launch/conceptThank youJenniferRestaurant manager

The Crown Inn, situated in the pretty South Northamptonshire Village of Weston was first listed as a Hostelry in 1592. We serve well kept ales and lagers which includes Peroni on draught, along with a beautifully varied wine list. Our food, prepared and c
Judging by the price of a glass of modest new Zealand sauvignon blanc at 9 pounds you would think it was a Michelin starred restaurant! This modest pub with a good local reputation in my opinion has overpriced itself and I have heard that many locals are boycotting the pub. The food on offer was good but a chicken pasta dish at £18.50!
