Took the family here for a celebratory meal. The food was excellent service was a little hit and miss but the place was extremely busy so can understand the servce. This was the first time I had been to this restaurant even though it is only about 2 miles from where I live (but it will not be the last time)I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something more up market than normal food grub.

A little gem of a place. The staff are the best ever. Nothing is too much trouble they are so friendly and helpful. The food is not mass produced but cooked to perfection. Absolutely Everything was lovely. We last came here on Christmas Day which was spot on and intend booking for Christmas again. Thank you

There is a lovely little walk through the woods from Kirkby centre back round to Victoria Road and this is the half way refreshment stop.I believe the place has changed ownership a few times and the quality of food and service has been mixed during those times. However my visit last week was my first under the current owners. The service was friendly and they had about 5 or 6 staff on which seemed a lot but i'm not complaining if they can afford it because it makes for a quicker and hopefully better service. We only had drinks on this occasion but they were served efficiently and all tasted as they should. There were a few people in having breakfasts which looked good but i'm not sure on the quality of products given I didn't eat any. If they are using good quality local meats then they should promote the fact because I wouldn't fancy eating value sausages for instance.I'll certainly be back and hope that the current owners can keep up high standards of service and quality food.
