Situated in scenic Stratford-upon-Avon, the historic White Swan Hotel has played host to thousands of guests since 1560. Why not come and see whyâ¦indulge with a perfectly poured pint or something from our extensive cellar, then settle back with a dish fro
We are locals and use the White Swan especially during the autumn and winter months as itâs a great place to relax on the sofaâs in a warm friendly atmosphere.Itâs certainly not the cheapest bar in town but itâs always great beer and the environment is perfect.Iâve eaten in the restaurant with colleagues at lunchtime recently and had a chicken club sandwich, I struggled to eat it as along with the chips it was a big portion. The sandwich was fantastic. The staff can lack communication skills sometimes but thatâs not unusual in hotel and catering, we know that as hotel restaurant management was my wifeâs previous profession.Overall we love The White Swan, in years of coming here weâve never been let down and the hotel delivers great service for us every time. And on a cold winters night thereâs no better place to be.Dear Samfireman,Thank you for your review.I value all reviews, but particularly those of people who return regularly - this demonstrates we do something right for you to return to us!For you to say you love it hear is music to my ears, and I look forward to welcoming you back in the future.Regards,Sol

Sunday lunchWe stayed in the indigo for the weekend but each night this restaurant was fully booked. However we managed a Sunday lunch....The beef was lovely and the Yorkshire puds were huge, the pork belly had too much fat and not enough meat, but tasty.Service was good apart from being the only ones in the restaurant not to be offered a drink from the drinks trolley, rather disappointing. Expensive for what you get but very tasty and included is service with the bill without getting a choice.Dear JohnmF5711TT, The Woodsman books up very far in advance at the weekends but we are glad that we could accommodate you this afternoon. Thank you for passing on your feedback about your Sunday Lunch with us and it has been delivered to the relevant departments. I apologise that you were not offered the drinks trolley. This must have been a genuine oversight on our part, however had you made your server aware we would have sent it over immediately or alternatively offered you a digestif on us. Service is optional and can be instantly removed if a guest so wishes but we are glad that you find your meal tasty. Next time you join us if you contact myself directly on [email protected] we can ensure that you have a drink from the trolley!Best, Rachael

Just popped in for a cheeky vino, ended up staying out out... almost. Greeted with a cheery grin and a handful of Scooby snacks for our weary hounds on arrival. We weâre then escorted around to the small courtyard where there was some shade for the dogs... another nice touch . The staff were super accommodating and chipper. Would definitely recommend as pooch friendly, the pub had a great vibe, even on Monday afternoon. Kudos to the staff for a really enjoyable random Monday afternoon and early evening

Called in for Sunday Lunch main course only. I had the roast loin of pork which was tasty. My wife decided to hedge her bets and ordered the Trio of Roasts (beef, pork & chicken). Tasty meat and fresh vegetables. The best Yorkshire pudding weâve had in a long time. Accompanied with lashings of gravy. Reasonably priced dishes.Delighted to hear and thank you! Sunday is a very popular day for us as the roasts are second to none! The new trio is prooving exceptionally popular. Thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you again.

Two minutes walk from Shakespeare's Birthplace, The One Elm is a Victorian pub with a bustling bar, a pretty sheltered courtyard & a relaxed but high quality restaurant.

...but how about you just pop in!Modern inside and outside places to eat. Very good staff. Menu great, fresh and filling, but of course delicious. Wines good. We have driven past for years, and this is the first time we stopped at about 2.30pm on a Saturday. Plenty of people so well liked, and choice of interesting bar foods. Also, they do some takeaway of their menu - very good idea in a village without these services. Definitely going back.
