Nestled in the heart of a beautiful village, Gilling West - Richmondshire, bordering the Yorkshire Dales. Our vision is to blend the modern with the traditional and provide a platform to showcase the region... Local produce, local products, local people.
My wife and I visited the White Swan with some friends on a Saturday evening. It was very busy, but we were fortunate to get a table. The restaurant has a reputation for good steaks and the owner advised us on the various cuts available which helped with our choice. The two in our group who ordered steaks were not disappointed as they were exceptional and cooked to perfection. They also had a good selection of fresh fish and my king prawns were the best I have had in some time.Looking forward to our next visit.

Tucked away in quiet Frenchgate inside a former Georgian Gentlemans residence now the beautiful Frenchgate Hotel, is the stylish, 2 Rosette, Frenchgate Restaurant.Only eight candle lit tables, including Granny Todds family table, original artwork, designe
Surprisingly good food in this small restaurant. Really great cooking by a talented chef. Menu at £35 is really good value for this quality. The restaurant is small, and the hotel has eight rooms which means you are dependant on the hotel not being full if you wish to dine but not stay here - so book ahead. This is our second visit and we intend to keep returning.Good wine list but quality reflected in the price, so no cheap plonk. Good! This entry should be much higher on the TA list. So many people who stay and eat here are repeat customers, I suspect simply not enough guests post reviews and the TA algorithm is not doing justice to this restaurant. It should be much higher on the list. This venue should have a Michelin 'Plate' or even 'Bib Gourmand' for those who follow that guide- but it's missed out. An error, I'd say.

This pub is a must visit, fabulous traditional food and a great vegetarian selection.A specially made parmo will hopefully hit the menus soon, an absolute treat having not eaten meat for a decade and being able to enjoy one again.Highly recommended, we went on the monthly quiz night which was great fun, we didnât do very well but was a great night.
