The reopening of the Feathers Inn at Brockton has been long awaited by many. This pub has exceeded expectations in all aspects. The whole building has been completely refurbished to the highest standard and thoughtfully decorated creating a unique, warm and enjoyable atmosphere. The food was delicious, high quality ingredients, beautifully cooked and after a 3-course meal, I was stuffed! The menu consists of a delightful blend of contemporary and traditional pub-restaurant food and has something for everyone. The staff were all attentive, professional and polite. Overall, I was incredibly impressed with this previously well loved pub and after a strong start, know that this will become a firm favourite of mine!

Visited for lunch. Very good menu choice, all 4 meals were good and service pleasant. However over 40 minutes for food to arrive at lunchtime would put me off going there again. Restaurant was not busy, only 3 people there when we arrived. A shame as we all enjoyed the food Thank you for your review and comments. I am always pleased to hear the service from the staff is pleasant and welcoming, however your comment about waiting time for food has me concerned. If I recall your visit, the meals your table chose were those that required them to be baked in the oven. This would be the case for our 'Shepherds Pie' and 'Chicken Breast' dishes. I must stress this to be the case for your visit and I am sorry it appears that when I mentioned this, it was not taken as fact. All of our dishes are freshly cooked to order. In our next reprint of Lunch Menus, we will add a small line of text under dishes that may take longer to serve due to cooking times. This could allow hungry guests to perhaps order something from the starter section during the wait. As your supporting comment states that your food was very good, we do not want any visitors to feel they are waiting unnecessarily for a fresh and tasty meal. Another option we do offer is to pre-order any of our meals to be served at a time of your choosing.Thank you for visiting The Old Orleton Inn and we do hope you return to us in the near future.

Warm, welcoming place & spotlessly clean. We were driving & when we spotted this place & certainly no disappointment for stopping for dinner. Staff were very friendly & helpful, directing us into a lovely restaurant area where we found a varied menu with some very tasty options. My partner opted for home made beef pie which was a really good portion crammed with delicious beef filling. I had the temura sole fillets which were a delight. Both meals were very tasty & filling & we walked out more than satisfied & really pleased we had stopped there. Thank you to all staff

Four of us came just before Christmas. Our daughter and son in law from Australia had come before and enjoyed a lovely meal. This time the service was poor. We had to go and find the waitress to ask for more drinks. She did not clear the dirty glasses from the table, The menu was very restricted. We have eaten here before and had lovely meals but this has put us off I,m afraid

I just wanted a light lunch, so chose an omelette. The service was second to none. The omelette was enormous accompanied by salad and coleslaw. I'm afraid I couldn't do it justice. I can't praise the waiter enough. Will definitely be making a return visit when I'm next in the area.

Stayed here with 5 friends and on the strength of the visit booked immediately for a further stay. Hidden away in a housing estate this is not a pub that would attract passing trade however it gets busy and thats great to see, Rooms are very nice... we had 3 twins one was slightly cheaper and this was reflected in the size but it was still very usable. No complaints re comfort etc... breakfast on both days was brilliant and the evening meals we enjoyed on both nights did not disappoint. as i said on the strength of our positive feelings we booked once again. for those people who live local its a great assetDear Ian Thank you for taking the time to post a fantastic review regarding your recent visit to The Woodberry Inn. We sincerely appreciate your comments and are delighted that you enjoyed your dining experience with us.We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Kind RegardsThe Woodberry Inn

This is a typical country pub set in a rural location surrounded by fields and agriculture. We stopped here for a late lunch last Sunday, the food was OK but nothing exceptional or outstanding to comment onUnfortunately there was a big issue with flies, we spent the entire meal waving them away from our plates which did rather spoil our visit. Based in Cheshire we often eat in rural pubs and have never experienced such a big problem previously. I am not sure what, if anything the management can do to reduce the problem, but needless to say we will not be visiting here again.Just 2 stars due to the flies, would have been 3 otherwiseWe'll have a word with the Lord to see if he can smite this pestilence from the earth!!In the meantime I guess where there's there's fields streams livestock & hot humid weather we'll have to keep using fly paper etc.etc. & keep asking customers NOT to open windows that we've shut however hot it is.Either that or I'll move to Cheshire which is obviously fly free David
