The staff were very friendly, one guy in particular (didn't catch his name) was knowledgable about the drinks they serve and was very helpful. There was a guy who it seemed like it was his first day, bless him he was getting barked at from all directions from I guess the landlady. Felt a bit sorry for him.Nice beer garden, food looked appetising.

We have visited this little charmer on several occasions and they always keep the firm favourites but they change their menu regularly and try to stay with local items, they always deliver fresh, tasty, well cooked food, the Sunday roast beef was amazing, the beef cooked to perfection, the roasties were crispy the veg perfect. The ambience is always warm and welcoming, the staff willing to help and always attentive but not overpowering, whether you want a formal lunch, a cosy dinner or a quick meal with your family, the surroundings will suit the occasion. Def always on our radar for food, but we always call and book as it does tend to be very busy.
