We enjoyed lunch with a large group. The service was very good. The presentation of the food was lovely...salad of greens and smoked duck was delicious. Main course included fish with a wine sauce and squash. for dessert we had an apple tart. The filling was very good however the crust was quite tough. The whole team thanks you for taking the time to write down your feelings about our restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you again and we hope to get the rating of 5/5 soon.

Lâexpérience est vraiment top.Le repas dans le noir permet de développer tous les autres sens. Au début du repas nous appréhendions un peu. Au fur et à mesure du repas, on sâest vraiment pris au jeu. Nous avons passé un super moment.

From day one the experience with this establishment was tarred by rude customer service and unhelpful management. On one occasion we were asked to leave because they were too busy to talk. We had already paid a deposit and were still made to feel like second class citizens. We were given a terrible option for desert (one you would get in a nursing home) and food was given to our guests without being asked beforehand how they would like the meat cooked. We wanted to have a square table but we were told this did not exist for the past 15 years. Upon arrival we saw the room next to ours with square tables!!!! The only saving grace was the waiter who was at all times a pleasure and very professional. I had my wedding reception here and because of my wonderful family and friends I enjoyed myself....no thanks to the chateau.

I called in to ask if they served vegetarian dishes. The lady asked the chef who was happy to accommodate. The service was superb. They served a small palate warming dish which was a pleasant surprise. The starters were lovely. The main dishes were delicious. We had a fish dish which was cooked really well and my veggie main which was delicious. The dessert was the most excellent course. They gave us some beautiful cookies and biscuits after dessert. The drinks were served well, my cointreau had ice and sliced orange in. Very good place to visit.

What a great find. We stayed nearby for one night on a European road trip and stumbled on this place by accident. Good food with a varied menu and great value. The restaurant was fairly busy when we visited and the service was great. There is a large selection of beers some of which are recommended to complement various meals.

We were staying 2 nights at Nantes camping and took the tram into the centre. After a walk round the Chateau des Ducs De Bretagne and the cathedral we took the green walking route de Leon Blum and although we were heading for another restaurant we stopped to eat at the L'Ardoise. It's a small restaurant with a set lunch 18⬠for 3 courses and we paid an extra 2⬠for the cafe gormaund. Service was good and the food was well presented and had a slight Asian flavour to the main dishes. I had the salmon which was really nice and my husband had the entrecote Thai style. I love cafe gormaund and although not the best I have had was ok - 7 out of 10. We really enjoyed our meal and with a carafe of wine we paid 50⬠- about right for a city lunch.

Nice place, excellent food, homey feeling and relaxed atmosphere. We had dinner there with my partner, the wine is really reasonably priced, had kir nantais and wines by the glass, not on the menu but the waiter will let you know what is available. The food is worth a fine-dining restaurant and it's nice to see a small independent business operating in Nantes!
