Icelandic through and through. Icelandic cuisine with a twist. Not touristy, more the place for travelers to mix with the locals. The only bar in the world that serves all Icelandic beers and spirits.
We ate dinner here after visiting with Wake Up Reykjavik. I had the reindeer burger and my husband had the lamb burger. The service was prompt and food was fantastic. We also tasted the fermented shark and dried cod on the tour. Both were great. Meat soup and fish soup were both tasty.

Lamb Street Food draws much inspiration from Iceland's rich gastronomic past. Here you'll find the happy marriage of high quality Icelandic ingredients and age-old culinary traditions from the Far East. Quintessentially Icelandic with a taste for world cu
The wraps these folks make are over the top . You can order their 3 basic wraps or do a custom one . They are super fresh and very good . The mixes the use is a great fusion for the taste buds . Itâs not a fast place , but the staff is really nice and do great job . The place has a nice modern decor and free parking out side which is nice . Thanks a bunch for this really super nice feedback - it's such a joy & happy trip for us to read :)

Family run Bar/Restaurant in ReykjavÃk. At Frederiksen Ale House we pride ourselves in passionate cooking and personal service, we got Happy hours and/or activities everyday. Feel free to stop by for a beer or two. Love The Frederiksen family
We wanted to try the traditional Icelandic lamb soup and it felt that it should be eaten in some place other than a restaurant so we went to the ale house! Good pub environment, got lucky with happy hour for the beers and had their lamb soup. The food was good - really it is a lamb hot pot in a lot of stock. It was generously loaded with lamb and vegetables and was filling. The bread that accompanied it was the strangest that I have ever had though. It was dark, was slightly greasy in texture - a bit like fried bread and came with some form of spread. To this day I have no idea what either was. They had a taste that was very different and strangely more-ish considering that I had no idea what I was eating. Nice enough not to be good for me probably! If you just want a simple but good meal in a decent pub then why not give it a go.

At Public House Gastropub, we put an emphasis on serving fun dining along with some quality ambience. We use Icelandic ingredients but we add some âjapanese flairâ to our dishes as we like to have fun with our food and drinks.
The bad: Cost. Donât look at the bill. If you were looking for a deal you should be in Vegas, this is Iceland. Itâs and Island, far away from anywhere. Things cost money....donât worry about it.The good: This place has amazing food. There is local beer on tap. You have choices from Cauliflower in Buffalo sauce, to Pork sliders, to Bacon wrapped figs, to Pork Dumplings......donât believe me.....look at all the other reviews.......do it!
