Dined here again last week and we always enjoy it. We both travel forty miles from opposite directions to meet up for lunch and have never been disappointed. We had a lovely table by the window and service was efficient, professional yet friendly. We always enjoy the daily specials. We always share a dessert as we are so full. Easy to park in the road. Looking forward to returning.

We were passing through and chose this place for Sunday lunch as it was listed as dog- friendly and it looked like it had a lot of greenery around it for a nice post lunch walk. We were not disappointed. Very friendly welcome, nice ambience, offered the dog water. Good menu choice- the usual Sunday roasts offered ( I had a lovely vegetarian Chestnut roast with all the trimmings incl veg gravy and a great yorkshire pudding) and hubby had steak which was a good size and he said was perfectly cooked. Great chips too! Yummy dessert choice. Nice lakeside walks nearby. Will definitely come again if in the area. We both had two courses, and bill was just over £40 incl two pints of beer so we thought this was good value.

What could have been a great family gathering, ruined by poor service! The staff are more interested in pouring themselves drinks than serving customers. We had to ask for our drinks order to be taken twice, then wait to make eye contact to order our kids meals. I had to walk over to ask for our order to be taken. No condiments offered, no pepper on the tables. Another boring wait for us to order deserts.The food was tasty, cocktails nice... service ...Zero points!We're sorry to read this and would like to investigate further as your review doesn't sound like the standard of service we pride ourselves on at Home Bar & Kitchen.
