I love the Open Bistro, the food is always good and beautifully presented. There is a warm, friendly atmosphere and it is a great experience. There is plenty of choice on the menu, and so many fantastic dishes. Even though we only manage to visit twice a year, because our holiday home is too far away, the chef always remembers us and greets us. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Unfortunately, the original waitress who was there when the Bistro first opened, has left, and our only reservation is that her replacement does not seem as enthusiastic or friendly. However, the food is memorable!Dear MiriamThank you for sharing your experience at l'Open Bistro. We are pleased to read that you have enjoyed your diner in our restaurant. We are the image of our customers: nice, attentive and pleasant ... so it's thanks to you!Hoping to have you again very soon in our restaurant during a future stay in Cogolin.

Special village house with all the charm of Provence that we imagine. Attentive service and refined Mediterranean cuisine with fresh seasonal products. Establishment part of the network of Masters Restaurateurs of France
This restaurant deserves it Michelin award as it is everything you want and more. It values first class food without succumbing to modern fads. It is beautifully cooked and presented and effortless served in a truly elegant and relaxing space. There is also a small terrace. Located in beautiful Grimaud, I always go there whenever in this part of the world. It is specially and totally unpretentious. The menu offers an array of tempting dishes fairly priced whilst the lunch menu is a bargain and includes wine. You will not be disappointed.

Having stayed at this resort for a number of years we have eaten here several times since it first opened and because we have enjoyed our meals we have kept returning however this last meal was a major disappointment. In order to attract business when trade has been quiet they have pitched a main menu at â¬20 and unfortunately in order to hit the price, corners have been cut.Starters were all ok but a little on the small size and the fish soup would have been better if served hot rather than lukewarm .....cheese doesn't melt in tepid soup. Main courses were pathetic. The whole sea bass was off and was replaced by a slice of dry tasteless salmon served without any sauce and with a pile of frozen chips alongside. The medium Faux Filet arrived well done, again with frozen chips as was the Beef Filet. As I was paying a â¬6 supplement for my filet, which was two thin rounds of meat placed on top of each other, I sent it back. The manager then queried what I meant by Medium and did I mean medium rare. Considering the thickness of the offering I thought this might be a good suggestion but what came out of the kitchen was a classic case of Chefs revenge. I was given a lump of gristle and sinew that was slightly browned on the outside and almost raw in the centre. Even with a sharp steak knife I had trouble cutting it.Desserts were only slightly better. My lemon tart was a slab of bought-in lemon meringue pie, the creme brûlée and the Chocolate Mousse were very average and the Corsican Orange and Cheese cake was so awful it was funny.Spend a few euros more and eat next door at Oliviers or on the beach at The Azura Plage restaurant. The latter was perfect for an informal meal that was great value, terrific portions of well prepared food with an amazing atmosphere in a restaurant that was always buzzing.

It is one of the smaller restaurants, where you find one next to the other in Cavalaire-sur-Mer. Very friendly Mr. R will guide you through some suggestions and puts you at ease.We had dinner here and had the Orange duck breast brochette; which was really wonderful. Can't remember having had such a sweet piece of duck ever.
