We visited Arles and initially sat outside at a restaurant in the square. We were ignored and after 15 minutes left walking around the corner to Café Georges. How pleased we were, the food was exceptional, the wine of an excellent quality and above all we were welcomed and found the service really good.

Chardon is a new bistrot/wine bar in Arles that offers a locally sourced selection of small plates to be shared, natural wines and a creative cocktail selection. Chardon is an ever-evolving restaurant that aims to be dynamic and shake up the status quo. T
We had a sublimely wonderful lunch here. The restaurant concept is interesting : each 2-3 months they have a different resident chef. Itâs a small, lovely restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The waitstaff is very helpful. Mostly, though, the food and wine were both truly excellent. Best meal of our 2 week trip to France.

In a valley neat Les Baux, this newly renovated and adapted hotel on the base of an old farmstead there is receiving its guests in very well equipped and spacious rooms with nice views of the valley and the surrounding rocks. Simplicite et fraicheur !
Food is just mediocre and did not live up the standard. There is very limited choices that can choose from. Ordered a steak at medium rare end up the steak served was raw and seasoning was rather disappointing. We were basically left unattended eventhough we have tried many times to wave and stop any random waitress, sadly enough we just dropped our money on table for payment and walked off after finishing our dessert. Positive point, they do serve really good pavlova.

Tucked away in a little side street, we were attracted by the lighting, which we could see from the bigger road that we were on.Loved it. Great food, just the right amount, friendly staff, pleasant lighting and decoration, relaxing background music, and, very importantly, no TV :-)All in all a pleasant experience for the senses. I'd recommend it to everybody.
