The top attraction, 215,000-square-foot Santa Catalina Monastery, is like its own city within a city, complete with fountains and cobblestone streets. This is an outstanding place to enjoy craft beer in Arequipa. It is run by an Oregonian, and he clearly knows his beer. Although I normally would prefer to sample the comida tipica while vacationing outside the US, I opted to get the Chelawasi burger so I could sample a couple of beers and still walk back to my hotel. Good decision. Both the burger and the fries were exceptional. Also, the staff and the owner were very friendly and hospitable.

A 7 course degustation meal that allows you to sample incredible local cuisine with a modern twist and leave you wanting more! Absolutely amazing food with great service and the price is more than reasonable, even for someone travelling for an entire year. Definitely worth blowing the food budget for this one.

Nice upstairs. Good choice of Old Tree cider. Good music and nice decor.Fish and chips was not great. The fish was a very small portion and chips tasted like they had been reused/refried as they were crunchy with no soft potato left and full of oil. I couldn't eat them. Worst chips in a year in South America. 'Bangers' and mash was oversized hot dogs, not actual sausages. There was no proper gravy more like a small garnish so quite dry. Bitterly disappointed especially after all te good reviews. Recommend this place for a drink but wouldn't eat here again.
