Alfresco kitchen at Sharpham Vineyard in South Devon. Serving delicious seasonal food from 26th March '18 through until November '18.
Al fresco amongst industrial units and a car park with hardly any views over the beautiful River Dart. £7.20 for half a lager and an americano! The food menu appears overpriced for food that is prepared in a mobile kitchen. Pretentious? You decide!Hello Pete! We are sorry you didn't like the look of our food prices, we would love it if you would return to try the food and let us know what you thought after having eaten with us we would be much obliged. All our drinks are all locally sourced and we take pride in that even if it means our customers have to pay a slightly higher price for them, they usually are quite understanding of this. Unfortunately we have no control over where the restaurant is situated and Sharpham is a working farm/winery and cheese dairy hence the industrial units. We would love to have you both back in due course and hope that we can change your mind! Many thanks,Amy

The stylish TQ9 is located in the old stables area of the hotel; this restaurant has its own identity as a popular eating location within Totnes. The adjoining Champagne Bar offers an intimate destination where a glass of Champagne, wine or cocktail can b
Visited TQ9. I normally only ever write good reviews to help people enjoy themselves, BUT my experiences here were so lamentably poor that I must adversly review. First stop Champagne bar. No list of available drinks (actually list was on the wall of one of the dining areas two rooms away). Asked what champagnes were available by glass, was offered two, sweet and dry????? both from unheard of producers, both brut and very very average. Staff untrained and left a very poor impression. Looked at menu for Dinner, a limited list of starters, chose scallops was told they were finished, ok, selected calamari and was then told they were finished also, Why wasn't I told this when the menu was presented, so as nothing else I fancied missed starters. Then ordered a bottle of Red Rioja, but on tasting was awfull, undrinkable, so settled for a glass of Multipulchiano, Ordered a steak, very very rare it came up medium to well. Wife ordered Halibut, it came up so overcooked it would have bounced on the floor. I really wished I had walked out after the champagne. An experience to forget.
