Reviews on Fusion food in Taichung, Taiwan. Among its many tourist attractions, Taichung offers a downtown shopping experience similar to that of Tokyo or Manhattan, a bustling nightlife, and a cuisine to please even the pickiest palate. Travelers come to this city to feast their eyes on the temples, markets, parks, and museums. Touring families often visit the Taichung National Museum of Natural Science to marvel over the exhibits or the Feng Chia night market to purchase local goods. But perhaps what Taichung is known for the most is Bubble tea, the most famous beverage in the region.

This place has been around since 1933 and the flavors hasn't changed from the last 30 years. A must for all foreign visitors searching real local food you can't get normally!A porkball covered in a gelatinous wrap with sauces most westerners haven't tasted. A nice balance of sweet and salty. Don't forget to get one of the 2 soups options. The menu is simple, just 3 options. K.I.S.S!

IN restaurant 28th floor (we had only breakfast). Breakfast costs $T660 per person. The dining room is large and airy, though very plain, compared to the rest of the hotel. The food choices are very disappointing for a Western person. I wanted a vegetable omelet, and I got an awful thing full of corn kernels and other indistinguishable gooey items; it was completely inedible. When I asked the cook if they had spinach, mushrooms, peppers and such, the answer was NO. There isn't even a good choice of Chinese vegetables, like we had in Beijing. I spoke to the manager on duty, and I think he didn't understand my problem, as he didn't say much of anything. Coffee was terrible. In any case, we wasted $T1300! So overpriced. My room was 3203,Jan, 7-8, 2018.The picture of the omelet choices attached. Dear Ms reginafug: Thank you very much for taking time off your busy schedule to complete the guest questionnaire during your most recent stay at The Landis Taichung. A beautiful oasis setting in the middle of Taichung City, this traditional Japanese-style tea house, complete with mats to sit on, is an elegant way to have a ladies' lunch. ALl of the little meals are the perfect size, and many are vegan-friendly. Personally I love the flower teas and the dried tofu.
