Reviews on Fusion food in Santa Marta, Magdalena Department, Colombia. The oldest city in Colombia, romantic Santa Marta is fringed by beautiful beaches and the stunning mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta range. Ancient ruins take cover in the lush mangrove forests of Tayrona National Park, the perfect spot for a day hike. Snorkel along vibrant reefs, then make your way to a café for a multicultural meal that incorporates the flavors of Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe. When the sun goes down, the nightlife kicks up its heels in the bars and discos of the Parque de Los Novios.

I enjoyed several lunches and dinners at Zafra since the chef, Yurani, creates the menu daily! My friends from MedellÃn discovered this place and brought me here! Zafra is a new, authentic restaurant frequented by the local people for lunch and dinner. I love this place because it's central but away from the noisy, busy tourist side of Calle 19. We could peacefully enjoy meals outside at night at or inside with a cool breeze and interact with local people. It's a family-owned restuarant so very cozy, friendly, genuine people. And they speak English and Spanish! That was helpful to know the local food and area.
Opened since 2012. Cozy and colourful, Casa del Ritmo offers a varied veggie and vegan menu, natural juices, mocktails and crafted local beers, all this setted on a chill atmosphere where great music is always playing. As well, Casa del Ritmo is a plastic
I stayed in this hostel in 2018 and this year I came back! The staff are friendly and helpful, great atmosphere in the hostel with nice music and friendly guests, they also have have open mic nights and its really enjoyable. The on-site restaurant serves tasty vegetarian food and fresh fruit juices. There is also a kitchen you can cook your own meal. They also have connection with some diving instructors who are professional, patience and kind. I went scuba diving with them both of the times I stayed there and I really recommended it! Overall, Fantastic!Thank you so much for your review! Hope to have you back in Casa del Ritmo! Regards from the Caribbean!

My wife and I should have listened to the concierge at the hotel we were staying , but we thought we would give them a chance. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!!I must say everything was great except for the experience/ staff. I'm in the restaurant business so I usually look at situations at both sides all the time. 1) my wife and I order a bottle of wine. I thought it was easy enough. The waiter must have taken 20 minutes, mind you the place was not busy at all I counted 5 tables including the tables outside. There were also 3 other waiters on the floor as well. When the wine came he put the wine on the table and ran away. Guess what he does next????He dances!! So I called him over and asked him if he minds if we have WINE GLASSES and also if he would not mind OPENING the bottle as well. So All I can think of is maybe this is his first week there. I'm going to let it go. 2) Now we decided to order food (why didn't we go somewhere else)My wife insisted it is going to get better. So we ordered a couple of items off the menu, I see him write it down. A half hour goes by our waiter is now taking shots. Now I'm starting to understand why our concierge told us not to go. I see some food in the service window just getting cold. So I call him over and asked him how much longer? So guess what remember I said we ordered a couple of items? Well he bought back 1 plate. Ran back to the bar started took a shot and proceeded to dance. Any normal person would have been extremely upset. Not me I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Why I have no idea! Mind you my wife and I are on our honeymoon so we don't want any negativity. So I call him back and ask him. Where is our other dish? You know what he says? Oh I forgot what did you order? I told him again and he said he was sorry I will put a rush on it. 3) Okay if you read this far you know I had a horrible experience. So check time. I just go straight to the bar because I know will have to wait an outrageous amount of time. My tab came out to 115,000 pesos now my waiter runs straight to the register (guess he wants money) now I get all the attention in the world so as I said I'm in the restaurant business it's kind of like an unwritten rule to over tip and take care of your fellow industry worker. So he takes my CC and proceeds to put his own tip on my card without asking me! So now I'm a little upset and asked him why he did that he had no excuse. I basically told him that I wanted to give him a cash tip of 20,000 pesos. Then I went off in a polite way. And explained to him I did nothing wrong and what did I do to deserve service like this service?Well hopefully this was helpful. But I did frequent some great restaurants in the city so I have more positives. DABARTENDER

We were looking to get a quick bite to eat and were lucky enough to stumble into an amazing restaurant that was very reasonably priced. I ordered the trout and it was one of the top 3 trout dishes I have ever had. You must try this place!!!

Bought two overpriced filtercoffees & just asked for a friend what were the prices of small piece of brownie ($6800) & because it was really expensive he dicided to buy a cookie instead. They just supposed we wanted both now and charged us both. We I told her (immediatly) they told me that they cant undo that and that now I had to pay for the brownie as well. Just pick a Coffeeplace were they actually give you good coffee and where the custumerservice is existend too...

Pitas, Salads, Falafel, Smoothies, Juice, Breakfast, Coffee, Free Wi-Fi, Mojitos, Margaritas, Happy Hour, Craft Beer
Best breakfasts in town! Lots of healthy/vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free/local options. Also the salads are HUGE and a great deal for what they cost. I got the falafel (insider tip: ask for the calabaza falafel instead of regular-- it is out of this world!). Meat eater friends loved the chorizo pita and the southwest (chicken, bacon, guacamole, Chipotle). Everything is made in house (the bread, the almond milk, the meat is smoked there, everything!) Definitely options for everyone for a great price. You will leave with a full belly. Also great to just stop by for a smoothie or coffee. Super refreshing! Thanks a million!

The gastronomic tour of surfing. Moves to try a different restaurant, a place where the varieties and blends flavors your palate will vibrate. An unforgettable dining experience which are the protagonist !!! Food for your soul, healthy food, gluten free,
We went there two nights in a row because at the first night they didnât have the roasted chicken left and I really wanted to try it which i did in the second night. Thank god! It was really good and the mango salad (with roasted lentils ) was a good addition. The Jamaican curry was very tasty as well as the chipotle chicken. When we were offering to switch table so that a group of five could get a table they served us a gratis dessert (which was also very delicious). the water is also free. Definitely worth the visit!!

Patio Querido is a little oasis in the hot and buzzing city that is Santa Marta. The gorgeous garden's plants and the beautiful exterior make it the most beautiful and charming place in the city. The pool and the hammock and the hammock standing over it are a bliss. The Patio has a great diversity and quality of drinks and food for all over the World. I especially love that they have Colombian craft beers on draft.I love very much too that the Patio is also a place of many fabulous atmospheres: it's relaxing in the afternoons and entertaining at night with live music and events. I love bringing my girlfriend or meet friends there.Cherry on the top, the staff and the owners are very friendly and caring.Don't think twice about trying it, enjoy!

Mediterranean cuisine fused with the Colombian Caribbean
Nice enough place .. super busy which is always a good sign.. food was nice .. but so special that I would return for round 2. Peeking into the kitchen - the cooks seemed to be working with care + precision which is nice to see from ones table .. but the food was really rather simple ... in a high end way. Thanks a lot for your visit. We hope see you again at the 2nd round! :)Best Regards,Sebastian
