My wife and I finally tried Barbareno and we both wondered why we hadn't eaten there years ago. Great staff and great food with an intentional Central California cuisine focus. From fresh fish to the fabulous Tri-tip, this restaurant is now one of our favorites. Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. My wife and I ate at the bar (because we like doing that) and we had the chance to chat with alot of the staff. Very friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and wine. My wife had the tri-tip and I had the cheeseburger. Both were delicious.

We stopped in for a light lunch and were very pleased with the food and the service. The server brought beverages and a dish of tasty fried garbanzo beans while we contemplated the menu. We ultimately ordered the veggie burger, chopped salad and the spinach and goat cheese salad. The portions were large and the food was very well prepared. It is a casual spot with prices in line with most Santa Barbara eateries.

Dont let the location --part of the Best western -- scare you. everything was scratch and very good. reasonable prices and good service completed the experience.
