Ordered a takeaway meal and it took forever -- must have waited 45+ minutes for the food after being told several times it would only be another 5 minutes. They need some time management or they were waiting for the vegetables to grow. Disappointing -- even if they were busy being up front and telling me the real time frame would have been helpful. Food good when it finally arrived but the delay unfortunately left me disappointed. Thanks for the feedback and sorry, our driver had trouble finding your address. Queenstown's newest eatery, Yonder, with their experimental kitchen also boast the primary go to for speciality coffee. With its main focus on dietary needs (vegan, GF) and a large array of healthy and indulgent delights, Yonder is ever evolving. A sunny
We ate brunch at Yonder on our last day in Queenstown. We initially sat outside as it had a gorgeous atmosphere, however, with impending rain/snow we headed inside to a booth. The inside atmosphere is cosy yet spacious, never feeling like we were on top of each other. I ordered the pork benedict choosing to swap out the pork for 'streaky bacon' for an added $2, which I felt was a bit of a rip off considering streaky bacon would cost considerably less than shredded pork and the amount of bacon that was substituted in was pretty poor. The overall flavour was good. My friend ordered eggs on toast which came exactly as stated, don't expect anything extra like butter on your toast. Seemed to be a great catch up place for the locals. Free wifi was also a plus as we waited to hear whether our flight home was cancelled or not.Hey Ashleigh, Thanks for the review! We're always happy to supply butter, in fact we've actually started providing butter upon request as a sustainability measure because so many people were throwing it out. We use premium bacon, so its actually more expensive than expected. Glad you loved the flavour, hopefully,â we can grab those two missing stars from you next time!

White + Wong's 'east meets west' cuisine takes classic street foods from China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand - the noodles, soups, curries and delicious dumplings - and created an eclectic menu to pick and choose from to suit. You'll find unt
So My wife and I have flown into Queenstown for our 40th wedding anniversary and our friends who live in Invercargill are also in town. They say the vibe around town is for White and Wongâs Restauant. So we book a table for four. On arrival we have a drink in Sardine the bar ânext doorâ which is actually part of White and Wongâs. A couple of glasses of Perrier Jouet and two Hendricks & tonic are the order of the night and are perfect as aperitifs to get the hunger amped up. Staff are extremely efficient & diligent with great product knowledge. Only too willing to advise if needed to navigate an extensive menu. My wife is a vegetarian and is well catered for with some dumplings to start along with some beautiful duck & chive xiao long bao, the dough is tender and beautifully weighted, inside the melting pot of flavour & textures are exemplary. The karaage chicken guao baos are plump juicy and textural with great flavours. These are only a couple of many standouts of an establishment that could be mistaken for one of the Chin Chin Restaurants in Melbourne or Sydney right down to the âFeed Meâ writing on their menu. However White and Wongâs has a bit more polish along with the heart & soul of their staff certainly makes this a more memorable dining experience. A must dine restaurant if you are in Queenstown!
