This is Pembroke? Are you kidding me? OM(F'n)G! :) Big city, cosmopolitan, jazzy vibe that reeks, absolutely reeks of COOL with a capital 'C'. Found it by chance but will return on purpose. The Sunday brunch menu is packed full of options that will have you telling your wait staff, 'give us a few more minutes'. In the end it won't matter cause every selection is mouth watering and outta sight. A creperie in the heart of the Ottawa valley, or is it uptown NY. Think SOHO loft trendy and Montreal chic in terms of ambiance and gastronomic. We live over 2 hours away but will make the drive just to savour the flavour and engage with the staff. Fantastique or should I say Fan-Taste-ique :)Thank you so much for this generous review! We are so happy you were able to enjoy our delicious brunch. I hope you indulged in our cheddar jalapeño hash brown waffles;) It means so much to us that you would drive two hours to visit our restaurant. The food is all freshly made with care, and the presentation and taste are always on par. Upon entering, there are numerous, large signs stating that all food is made to order, so depending on what you choose, the wait can be anywhere from 20-40 minutes, but it's well worth it. The Vietnamese peanut sauce is absolutely delicious.

Being a vegetarian I can tell you that there are not enough specialty restaurants that cater to vegetarians/vegans. Especially in a small city like Pembroke! I have eaten at Blendz Smoothie Shop a few times now and I have never been disappointed. This place is every bit as good as Pure Kitchen or The Table in Ottawa, and given the choice this would be my preference. I have had their smoothies, their grilled cheese and coconut bacon sandwich, their Pho and everything has been excellent. I'm happy that Pembroke finally has a vegetarian/vegan restaurant.Wow! what a compliment, thank you so much for taking the time to review!
