We visited the Black Bear Japanese Fusion for the second time on Saturday night. First time just hubby and me, this time with another couple. It was great to be able to book using Open Table. The small and simple restaurant was packed on both occasions and was noisy and filled with laughter, but not enough so that we couldnât have a conversation. There are so many delicious items on the menu itâs hard to choose. One can be adventurous and pick something totally foreign to eat, or if you are more conventional you can get a regular burger and fries or a salad. Our friends both opted for a shrimp burger served with mango salsa and a side salad. They thoroughly enjoyed their choice. My husband ordered spaghetti with teriyaki steak and a tomato sauce, and I decided to be brave and ordered Kimchi Sukiyaki beef udon and I had no idea what to expect. My husband was happy with his choice and I am still raving about my pick. The soup was spicy and so flavourful, filled with mushrooms and meat and noodles and it was served in a huge bowl. Service was quick and friendly and prices reasonable. Their drinks menu had some interesting cold beverages like fresh lime or lemon soda, mock-tails and more. Desserts sounded decadent but we were too stuffed to sample. Definitely one of the nicest places we have discovered in a long time. Plenty of free parking too. We will be going back soon.

Very impressed with a first visit to Inspire. Thoughtful details distinguished each dish we sampled - variety of flavours, textures, cooking styles. Everything was enjoyable, satisfying and often surprising. Started with a California Nachos with taro chips, ahi, avocado, pickled onion, jalapeños and spicy mayo, which was excellent. Hanoi Greens salad was enlivened by pomegranate, radish, beats and more chilies. Our three entrees were all delicious. A playful Udon Carbonara with spicy sausage instead of bacon, and served with a raw quail egg. Thai meatballs with coconut, which were succulent and pricked with spicy heat. The Moco Loco, with both a dutiful observance of traditional Hawaiian composition - a housemade medium rare burger served on rice, but it was taken a notch higher with Shiitake Demi glaze, crispy onion strings and sautéed shrimp. (Unfortunately, the must have fried egg atop the gorgeous plate, was quite over cooked which took away from the unctuous blend of gravy and runny yolk...)Service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.Definitely planning a return visit. Lots of similarly adventurous items we were tempted to try!

Good Catch Boil House is a Louisiana-inspired seafood restaurant and sports bar with a Cajun fusion twist! The menu offers a variety of traditional and innovative dishes ranging from gumbo and seafood boils to Cajun seafood fried rice and lobster nachos.
Found by accident. Think Cajun Boil finger food meets asian. Seafood is fresh and well prepared. Grilled Lobster mac and cheese with salad was nice change for lunch. Had some boiled shrimp (available by lb) as a dinner appetizer last time that was excellent. Large casual dining area. It has never been too busy when we were here but weekend nights it might be a fun place to try with a group for a few drinks.
