Our first visit and we were totally impressed upon entering the restaurant. The hostess seated our party at a comfortable booth overlooking the large selection of aging beef portions in the nearby cooler. Our server met us promptly and provided excellent service throughout our meal. We started with the Grilled Cabbage appetizer that had a unique flavor. Our party selected the price fixe menu that allowed us to sample many of the appetizer, salad, meat, fish and vegetable selections. All were delicious. At a price of $59 per person this was truly a good deal..A full bar and large wine list were also available.We shall return the next time we are in the Venice area.

Attractive restaurant for the beautiful people of Venice Beach. We sat in the charming terrace outside where could marvel at the good weather and tables of ladies who lunch showing off ample evidence of plastic surgery. Very LA! The food was very good except for one dish: the roast chicken. When my partner told the waiter it was undercooked, he whisked it away only for a kitchen supervisor (not a chef) to return with the dish, saying that the kitchen had looked it over and could assure us the dish was fine. As my partner found out to her cost and embarrassment 90 minutes later, the dish was very much NOT ok. Enough said. We cannot believe that a chef every looked at the dish. Even worse if they did!

I always get their Rib Eye Steak,for $30 you get mashed potato and broccoli on the side,compared to Ruth's steak house upstairs,(so expensive,sides additional), just the right size (6oz)and they cook it perfect for me (medium rare).Its a celebration of my birthday this August and my friend got the seafood noodles and she said its wonderful. She's wondering if there's a chain somewhere in Valencia. They gave us a small dessert (apple/peach cobbler) with a candle for blowing,so nice...thank you for making another birthday memorable Yard House,our waiter was attentive and efficient with substitutions we requested.
