Peaceful, with great views of the oldest temple in Luang Prabang. You can watch the world go by in the front, or enjoy the beauty of nature in our private garden. We serve traditional Lao soup, along with our own special menu of grilled meat dishes and ou
Pha khao Lao is a very large restaurant so you would assume their kitchen staff knows how to time dishes so they come out about at the same time (we are just 2 people, not 20!) but that was not the case. I got my noodle curry 5 minutes after ordering and my wife's food arrived a full 30 minutes later. These were not sharing dishes so I had to finish my food while my wife waited and she had to eat her food while I waited... The food was very good though. Hi haplo89,Thank you for your honest review, I appreciate the feedback. You are right about the timing and this is unacceptable and we will improve this going forward. However I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the food when it arrived.Kind regardsHarry

A little cool place on the main street,a lot of wine and cocktail choices.food available lao food and pizza, burger
Unfortunately our order was forgotten, completely! We only ordered a falafel wrap and fries, we waited patiently and when we asked, they were honest enough to say they forgot. However when I did place the order the waiter ignore me 3 times before I was waving my hands in the air to get him over.It does have a nice atmosphere but the service needs improving. They ended up no charging for the fries. but the falafel was not worth the wait unfortunately. It wasn't tasty.

Very well located bar, great feel at night! However, we found the cocktails to be distinctly average. Still enjoyed our evening here, but probably more of a tourist trap/gimmick than a genuinely decent bar.

We loved this little restaurant just up the street from the night Market. Had a bit of everything for any time of the day. Enjoyed an excellent burger one lunch time. My wife had a lovely salad and gnocchi with green curry sauce was delicious. The Bouang Mess (their take on an Eton Mess) was, again, very delicious. We had cocktails one night and they were equally yummy. Couldn't fault the place and woke recommend it to anyone.
