We visited this place on the recommendation of a local. They also recommended the smoked meats there. I must say that they were delicious. However, I made the mistake of ordering the brisket which, while very tasty, was extremely fatty. Locals later told me that the pork was the better bet.

My wife and I had dinner at Royâs Eating House 1849 in Koloa in late September 2019. My wife had the Butterfish bowl and I had the Blacken Ahi. My Ahi was excellent however, my wifeâs Butterfish was fishy tasting and disappointing. Our service was slow for reasons never explained to us. Royâs is expensive and it is nice to treat yourself to a great meal occasionally but our dining experience was not special that evening. We have eaten at numerous Royâs before and will again as this dining experience was probably an anomaly. There is free parking nearby.

We had both the Popeye breakfast crepe and peanut noodles. Both were amazing. The Popeye had eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, spinach, onion and tomato with shredded carrots on top. I was craving it the rest of the trip! The peanut noodle was on the lunch portion of the menu and was a lot like pad thai. Large portion that filled us up. I wanted to go back for this too, but the family wanted to try other places- this was still the best!
Serving local Hawaiian comfort food inspired by our cultural heritage and culinary experiences. Come by and see us at Warehouse 3540!
The pork belly is amazing. It's surprisingly light and a little spicy. The turmeric hibiscus tea is sublime and refreshing. There's a lovely table inside the warehouse where you can eat out of the sun. The food is reasonably priced and they take credit cards.

Fish Express Market is across the street from Walmart. The parking lot can accommodate about 5 cars. Our family runs in to get Kim Chee Cucumbers and Shoyu (Soy Sauce) Ahi Poke to munch on when we first get to Kauai. They also have rice balls wrapped in nori (musubis). Easy in and out. Deli style glass case. Nice people!
