Saigon Restaurant is an unpretentious cozy restaurant located on the third floor of an unassuming building. It offers a lot for a very a reasonable price. The dishes are fresh, plentiful, and tasty. Coffee and dessert come with your meal as well. We recommend the Seafood Pho, which we tried two times, always delicious. The service is friendly and efficient!

Stumbled on this place walking around. People sitting outside caught our eye and we decided to try it. Sat at the bar and was entertained the whole time by the chef cooking with his wok. This is a lively, loud, active place with all the workers shouting to each other and bustling around. We were the only non-locals in the place. Our meal was fantastic (got the chicken over rice) and our mojitos were vey fresh and delicious. The prices are also not bad at all, the entree was a decent sized portion and was under $1000 yen. Drinks were only $680 yen. So good we are thinking about going back again before our trip ends!

Very popular "Gyukatsu" (beef cutlet) restaurant that now runs 6 branches in Tokyo (as of October 2016). Note that Shibuya branches are always very crowded and you should expect to wait for an hour or so, I'd suggest you get there 30-60 minutes prior or g
The place seats about 20 people and primarily serves fried beef. To most foodies it may be a travesty to cook beef this way, but they managed to work around it and bring an enjoyable experience to you. The breaded meat is tender and on the fatty side. You'd be given a few different sauces, wasabi and salt, along with a cabbage salad, soup and rice. The beef comes fried and cut. You can grill the slices on the hotplate to your desired wellness. It's a great meal although personally I still prefer traditional steaks!
