Three Little Pigs believes in providing impeccable service and a classic dining atmosphere.
We dined here recently for dinner after seeing the great reviews. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and I would like to visit again when the weather is cooler and the fire is going. We ordered pork belly and spicy pork which was a generous size and cooked perfectly. Would recommend this place to visit.

Positives - service was outstanding and wine pairing and the hosts knowledge of the wines was amazing. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated and the atmosphere and decor was 5 stars.Unfortunately some of the dishes were average and did not eat well. The golden egg was a strange option for a first course and was so salty it wasnât pleasant to eat. The trout dish was let down by the carrot juice on the side which didnât belong there and tasted strange. The trout itself was delicious. The risotto was delicious, but was cold by the time we broke the huge piece of nitrogen Parmesan into it. The Aspirin drink didnât have the desired result as the aspirin wouldnât dissolve in the eggy tasting liquid which was so thick we couldnât drink it or taste any finger lime. The desert was very rich and could have been better with some citrus to cut through the richness of the chocolate as the herbed moss didnât quiet do it. With some small tweaks to some of the dishes, I think it could be a lot better and a real success. This was our first time back to Leaf since the new managers took over. We could not fault the food and the service was impeccable. Incredibly friendly and welcoming. The bento boxes are great value for money. The cakes/desserts are all made by the chef's wife and they are worthy of an extra special mention. The matcha and strawberry roulade cakes are perfection. My family consider me a food snob so I am not easily pleased but this will be a regular when I don't feel like cooking.

You are rather spoilt for choice when it comes to cafes and restaurants in this area. The Monkey Tree Restaurant is unassuming but serves up a great bistro meal. The lemon pepper calamari was outstanding as was the service and the atmosphere. The meals were served quickly but you were under no rush. Great coffee finished off a relaxed and enjoyable lunch.

Very pretty place with a lovely view over vineyards and rolling hills. Beautiful old building with an interesting history. We arrived around 12.30 and the service was almost too fast. It slowed as other groups arrived. The menu offered some interesting and varied options including the 2 -3 course special menus. We enjoyed the meals which were very good if not sensational. We did not taste the wine but had a glass with the meal. We enjoyed our lunch but don't visit just to taste the wine as it was pretty ordinary. The coffee at the end of our meal was also not the best. Overall it was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
